Not as great as I hoped or expected

I was excited to try this out. I've used the Rug Doctor for many years but wanted something easier to maneuver. This carpet cleaner didn't really pick up the dirt and grime in the carpets like I had hoped. The cleaning solution also didn't penetrate the carpet very well so the brushes were just spinning around on the surface. The steam feature is just okay, I didn't feel like it was getting hot enough to really do anything (I felt the carpet with my hand right after moving the machine over it). ...

I have been using an older, simpler Bissell carpet cleaner for some years - we also have a Spot Bot. The old one was a bit of a hassle to use, and narrow, so took a long time cleaning. I wanted to love you Revolution Hydrostream Pet

Left my carpet sopping wet. I couldn't get it to suck up the dirty cleanser from carpet. I tried different settings & attachments to no avail. It was still too wet. Tried to use the hose with stairs attachment & it didn't spray the cleanser, but had suction. Ended up using that to suck up excess liquid from my rug and still had to lay towels down because it was so wet. Very disappointed Bissell is usually better than this. Might try another machine

Quit working

I bought this in September and have only used it three times. Worked great at first and now it will no longer spray fluid on the maxsteam setting. The only setting I actually care to use.

Worth the money

I like how well the unit cleaned the carpet with the two roller brushes. Cleans much more effectively than my single roller unit.

Attachments are garbage

I bought this product thinking the attachments would work for stairs or upholstery but they don't. I would give the attachments a zero star they are nit even 15% as good as a standard shop vac. However the upright steam cleaner is fantastic and works great. I would give that a 5 star review. However the package is not what they advertise so an average of 3 stars is wat you get.

I would buy this product again.

the only thing I would like to see are larger clean water and dirty water tank capacities.

This has been very powerful, easy to use, and easy to clean. It’s getting up old and new stains. Best carpet cleaner I’ve ever had!

Works, but not magical - and squeals

It's an effective cleaner on my old nylon carpets with normal shoe-dirt; better than my old cleaner, but still leaves some uneven cleaning marks. The tanks are pretty small so you spend a fair amount of time dumping and refilling. It intermittently makes a squealing noise as well as the normal motor/vacuum noises, which I asked Support about and all they said was to check for dirt in the debris filter etc (this happened on the very first use, and kept happening even after an hour of carpet clean...

Cleans well and drys fast

This is the best cleaner I have ever bought and have bought many.

Should Have Listened to Other 1 Star Reviews

I purchased tis a few hours ago. I took it out of the box following the directions to put it together. The handle will not fit into the machine. I struggled for over an hour before calling Bissell tech support. I was directed to an agent who asked me what the problem was then hung up on me! I called back spoke to another agent who was willing to help but no matter what he suggested the handle does not fit into the machine. I'm bringing it back tomorrow and I would never even consider purchasing ...
