Works as expected, super easy

The set up was easy and straightforward. The keypad is just big enough without being an eye sore which is good because it looks very plain. I will say there is a bit of a delay with the keypad. I would've splurged for a quicker connection once entered and a good fingerprint reader.

I am not happy with the August lock unfortunately

It has just never worked right. The batteries in the key pad need to be changed every ten days or so. So I bought a new key pad. Same thing. The WIFI bridge worked for a while but now it does not. The IT folks say it is where it is positioned, but it worked for a few week in that position. We had to house the key pad in a box of our own making to protect it from the elements. The whole thing is more trouble than its worth for us. Conceptually great! but for us, not a working product.

Necessity for frequent guests

Recently installed an August system in my new house and included the keypad on a whim, I now consider it a must have for the system. The ability to scramble the code and assign different users unique codes is a great feature and the keypad is bright and feels premium. So far hasn't failed and it still shows a full battery 2 months later in a Midwestern spring.

Works, but could be better.

I bought this keypad to extend the functionality of my August smart lock. It was easy to set up but I find that over time I have to reset the unit. Also sometimes takes a few tries to open the lock. I also wish there was a way to make the unit flatter. It is about 3/4 inch deep.

Love it! Easy Peezy Lemon Squeeze

I love the August lock and was using Siri to lock my door as I left, but I would need to yell out Hey Siri as I'm leaving my apartment everyday so this was a great alternative to Locking and unlocking our door! We are very happy with how responsive it is and how easy it was to setup.

This is a must have add on

We have had august locks for years (since gen1) this is something that should come in the box with the locks. It’s tiny super easy to set up and use and works every time. Great way to let kids in the house and not have to worry about dead phones or keys.

Not linking with air bnb as advertised

I bought this product to help with my air bnb. I went through every step like the instructions said and have had to reset twice, I now have 22 reservations where the product has failed to give the guests a door code.

Waiting with baited breath

i just bought my second one, the first one didnt last very long and was not covered by warranty ... i was really temped to switch to a different brand... but i am giving it another try. it burns through batteries like crazy so stock up!

I'm glad I finally caved and bought the keypad. Definitely worth it.

Nice addition to an August lock

Easy to install and setup. A must for August Lock owners.

Breaks down a lot

This is my 2nd one. The 1st one died right after its warranty expired. This 2nd one is less then a month old and it seems to have died also.

Awesome little accessory

Never thought I'd use this little guy so much! Comes in very handy!!

Easy to use and we are never locked out!

We thought we could do without this handy tool but being locked out one too many times and having to go in through the garage we knew it was necessary and we should have never of gone without it.

Why did I not buy sooner?!

Great product, easy to install. It is so nice being able to assign custom keypads to family as needed.

installed easily, works as advertised

So far the grandkids love the keypad... perhaps a little too much :-). Really like how it integrates into the existing lock and door hardware. I am used to installing 'smart' devices so there was no problem with set up.

Easy instalation

I originally bought just the August lock and loved it’s functionality. Then when I needed a solution to let others into my house while I was away I decided to by the keypad. It was very easy to pair the keypad with the lock and it works great.

Smart keypad

I bought two of these keypads for both of my outside doors and they are fabulous. Not only are they simple and look great they make it so easy to get inside when I take the dog to walk or my kids come over before I get home and I don’t have to have lots of keys for everyone. Code is simple to change. I love these keypads.

Should have purchased earlier

After dealing with persons who could not figure out how to download an app, I finally purchased the key pad. Should have done years earlier. Easy install and connection.

Good and convenient

This is 2nd one. It is working excellent like the first that I have been using since 2018
