I had to buy this to replace my original one because it basically fell apart. The thing works find and does its job, but it's made really cheaply. Cheap brittle plastic, cheap mounting screws, the tabs break pretty quickly. My original one eventually wouldn't clip on after little bits of plastic chipped away here and there, and when it fell on the ground it just broke into a bunch of pieces. For something that is meant to be mounted outdoors and withstand the environment, it's pretty chincy....

Easy to install

This is a great addition to my August Smart Lock. I can easily add or delete authorized people each with their own code. It relieve me of the need to unlock and lock the door all the time (manually or with the app) and also it allows authorized people to enter without a smart phone. Great product.

Convenient way to lock and unlock your doors

In approximately 15 months the key pad has been replaced 3 times. When it works it is great but when it doesn’t you may be locked out unless you have a key or your phone app installed. I am referring to the keypad only. The rest works fine

Poor build quality

This keypad is built with flimsy plastic. Unlike the actual smart door lock, which is metal and seems durable, the plastic keypad is already showing wear after only three months of use. Plus, the keypad housing does not fit tightly onto the mounting and battery storage bracket.

Terrible

I am only home 2-3 weeks each month. I still have to change the batteries almost monthly. It's ridiculous. And the keypad only works 50% of the time. Truly terrible.

When it’s work, it’s perfect but it happens often, we want to open the door with it and it doesn’t react. No lights, the keypad doesn’t lite when we do our code and the lock doesn’t open. The keypad isn’t in energy saving and the app show that battery are ok. So, I remove the keypad, remove the battery, put them back and the keypad coming back to life and I'm able to use it to get in. But my family member do not trust it anymore. They use their phone and me, my key. I bought the keypad because s...

OMG The single button to lock makes it!

Of all the simple things in life the single button to push to lock the door is the best thing about the whole thing! Well worth it for that!

Not working

I do not know what is going on but the keypad is not working. The battery on the app says medium but when I tap any of the buttons, nothing lights up and or nothing happens. It normally lights up red but that is not happening or locks the door. it's really frustrating because I haven't even had it for a month and it's not working... That's really annoying. I really needed it for this weekend.

Dead on Arrival - Christmas present

Got a dead on arrival keypad, already created a support ticket for it and waiting for RMA instructions. Will change reviews when this is fixed.

August keypad

This works well with my August lock system. Was sure about the adhesive, but works well and easy to set up and install. Still wishing for better battery life.

Secure backup access

Great to have this additional way to operate the lock. Adding users on it are also a lot easier than adding their email to the lock so they can use the app.
