What Customers Are Saying
This product is a mixed bag in terms of quality and performance. Some users found it to be a simple, compact, and efficient solution for draining small amounts of liquids, while others reported issues like leaks, short or kinked hoses, and poor overall quality. The performance can vary greatly, and some customers may need to modify or replace parts to get it to work reliably for their needs.

Would Not RecommendI found it hard to use to pump water out of a hard to reach place. The red tubing is thin and wants to curl. It you put it down a pipe (like a gas tank) then its held straight somewhat and will work better. So it works, but it was difficult to use with those curling red tubes.
Only good on first go
Would Not RecommendBought this to drain the gasoline from lawnmower tractor. Worked fine on the first time round. Second time it did not. Seems like the suction has failed. The orange piping is really rigid and makes draining anything a bit more difficult - used clamps to keep the pipes where I needed them. I would not recommend this product... but I guess you get what you pay for.
Worked good for pumping water, But ...
Would RecommendI needed to get a gallon or two of water out of a container on my boat. This worked great, and all in one shot. However, the included hoses were only about 2 or 3 feet long and would never have worked. Luckily I had bought 8 feet of 3/8" clear tubing a couple of days ago trying to get the water out. That was just enough tubing, and it was all needed. The 3/8" tubing fit right into the upper (input) opening on the pump. Lucky. When I started pumping it sucked the water right up thru the 8 ft of h...

Pump Works Great Siphoning Transmission Fluid!
Would RecommendIf you want a great pump for siphoning out transmission fluids, then get this one (Don't use a cheaper hand squeeze bulb/ball, they aren't strong enough to siphon transmission). It's easy to assemble the hoses to the pump. Recommend spraying a little oil inside the top intake hole, to keep seals from drying out. Put the intake tube into your dipstick hole of the transmission until it bottoms out and start pumping the fluid into a container. Pull tubing out of the dipstick hole and pump the remai...
Great for difficult drains
Would RecommendOur lawn mower has an extremely inconvenient drain. This pump made extracting old oil almost effortless with very little mess.

Great way to change oil in a riding mower . . .
Would RecommendAn inexpensive option for changing lawn mower oil. Easier, and cleaner, than using the crankcase plug. Great addition to my "garage full of stuff"!

It siphons liquid BUT...
Would RecommendI purchased this pump because I grew tired of disconnecting my fuel lines on all of my gas powered equipment to drain the fuel tanks (thanks to the asinine policy of putting Ethanol in gasoline...and no, fuel additives don't always work). This pump works great BUT the problem is the suction line and the discharge line stay curled like you see in the photo. So when you get about half the tank siphoned the end of the suction tube sticks out of the liquid and you have to fight to try to keep the tu...

Worked great for me. Hoses coiled, not kinked.
Would RecommendHoses might be a bit short for some applications, but they were long enough for me to drain a pickup gas tank that had filled with water. (Long story.) Emptied it much faster than I'd anticipated. Beat the heck out of dropping the tank. I ran the hoses through short lengths of CPVC to straighten them out and control them. LUBE THE SHAFT before use, just like the instructions say! I used several drips of paper-shredder lube which is just vegetable oil.
Lines are too short.
Would Not RecommendThe lines are too short for my use. Lowe's use to sell the type that only had to be pushed into the drain fluid which worked great. Too bad they quit selling it.
Great Value for the Cost
Would RecommendMy husband needed a small pump for a project he was working on. This was just right. You can use the pump as shown and it will happily extract or inject air as needed. I have no doubt that it would do the same with liquids.

Basic function and features are good
Would RecommendThe pump is smooth, and having the smaller diameter tube included to fit into more narrow oil fill tubes is great. The only problem is the coiling of the tubes. The orange tubes are relatively stiff, so they're "set" into a coil. I need to find weights to put onto the hose ends and get them to straighten out. When sliding the inlet tube into the fluid, hard to get it to stay straight and deep in the fluid. Outlet tube will "spurt" when you get air bubbles in there, watch out! The pump is smooth,...

Very effective product at a reasonable price.
Would RecommendYour customer service rep knew exactly where the siphon pump was located and took me straight to it. I brought the siphon pump home and quickly removed the old gas from the motorcycle tank. Effective.

Siphon the the rescue!
Would RecommendI needed a siphon to empty an old fish tank and this product was much less expensive and much easier to use than the ones being sold at the part store. Please note, the included tubing is fine, but for a few dollars and a couple of minutes of your time on the tubing aisle, you can get much better flexible tubing that will help increase the volume this siphon can move.

Great volume
Would RecommendDidnt care much for trying to hold the pump and work it a first but once it primed the volume was impressive and i transfered 5 gallons in about 2 minutes. Great little pump for small engine type scenarios.

New & Improved Design! Different Hose & Package!
Would RecommendFor all the low reviews mentioning about the hose being kinked, they updated the design by changing the hose to a better quality hose that wont kink plus its in a different package. The old design was in a sealed plastic package and this one i just bought today is in a cardboard box to where you can open the top and look at the contents if you wish!....I myself bought 2 feet of clear hose for the discharge line for 39 cents a foot.....So for those complaining about the hose clarity, there is cle...
You get what you pay for
Would Not RecommendIf you have the need to siphon a car gas tank, buy at least 8 feet of 3/8 hose before you leave the store. The hose supplied with the pump isn't long enough for anything. Takes about 15 minutes to get 5 gallons out of the tank due to the small diameter hose. Pump works okay but inlet and outlet should have been larger, at least a 1/2 inch.
It does what you need.
Would RecommendI was a little concerned as some other reviews down graded it, but for price it did exactlly what it is suppose to do!

I use it for everything around the boat
Would RecommendI think this is a must-have on your boat. For those folks who complained about it failing - you may have just sucked something into the diaphragm - disassemble the pump and clean it. I use it to cleanly and safely transfer fuel from 5 gallon containers - without spilling a drop! I usually wrap the tubing with a rag to prevent vapors from escaping from the boat tank and from the containers. I also use it on occasion to pump rain water out the bilge, just to keep things tidy back there. I even use...
Fluid Pump
Would RecommendI have had one of these before and the design has not changed over the years. This pump works, it isn't exceptional but it is good.
