What Customers Are Saying
This product is a mixed bag in terms of quality and performance. Some users found it to be a simple, compact, and efficient solution for draining small amounts of liquids, while others reported issues like leaks, short or kinked hoses, and poor overall quality. The performance can vary greatly, and some customers may need to modify or replace parts to get it to work reliably for their needs.

Would RecommendWeighed the reviews and dove in. Price and availabilty huge factors. Kinks not so bad, was moving water basically. But perhaps Arnold could go with a type of painters tape to hold the hoses during shipping, the zip tie is a cause of kinks. If you read the instructions, the top of the stoke is intake, bottom outlet. And the out let MUST be below the intake. Hose attachment. Place oressure fitting (supplied x2) one on end of each hose, push hose firmly into pump all the way, then push on fitting, ...
Pretty useless for oil
Would Not RecommendIf you want to use this to drain oil from a lawnmower, get something else.

Good for siphoning oil from a lawn mower
Would RecommendI used this product to change the oil on my lawn mower. It was a little hard to manipulate at first. You have to take the time to unravel the hoses (which I didn't have time for) so the job became a 2-person job (one for pumping, the other keeping the hoses in place).
Siphon
Would RecommendPump works for what it was intended to do. I needed to drain my diesel fuel tank and had no trouble in doing so.

poor hose design
I used this pump for a total of 2 minutes. The hoses are too short, because of that I needed to shove the entire pump too close to the gas tank opening of my snowmobile. The hose fell off and into the tank! now I have a hose stuck in my snowmobile gas tank forever...
Arnold Siphon Pump
Would RecommendThe portion of the product that fits into the mower is to small needs to be bigger other it is a good product.

Doesn't work...
Would Not RecommendRead all the reviews but decided to purchase this siphon pump anyway knowing about the kinked tubing. I was pleasantly surprised to find the tubing was neatly coiled in the box without any kinks in them. After warming the engine oil briefly, I proceeded to siphon it from the mower engine. Unfortunately, all that happened is that the intake tube collapses from the vacuum. I was able to remove a small amount of oil by touching the pickup tube to the oil surface but this resulted in air splatter...
Real Suck-a-roonie!
Would Not RecommendI have oil all over my patio because the hoses won't stay attached. Plastic collars won't allow for hose clamps. Wasted $$$
Oil Change Siphon Pump
Would RecommendBecause my push mower does not have an engine oil drain plug, oil changes were difficult to perform. In the past I needed to tilt the mower on its side so the oil could drain out through the fill spout. This method was difficult and messy. The Arnold siphon pump makes is very easy to pump out the old oil without all the spillage. Should have bought this pump a few years ago.

Works well for light liquids
Would RecommendI needed this for my riding lawn mower oil change. Pumping the cylinder rapidly, especially during the priming phase, will collapse the larger orange intake tube. Slower paced than expected, it did eventually work as needed. For gasoline, this would have been effortless and immediate. Know your medium!!

Dangerous Product
Would Not RecommendThis product should not be on the market without major changes. 1) The hoses are so short as to be almost useless. 2) In cold weather the hoses are so stiff they just want to coil themselves back up (I am talking 25 - 30 F not below zero). 3) The hoses easily pull out of the pump. The hoses only push into the pump and nothing but friction holds them in. The first time I used it the hose blew off the pump and drenched me with gasoline on the third pump. Heed my warning! This product shou...
just a toy
Would Not RecommendThis would work great for a few days to give the the kids to play with. After that, just throw it away. VERY POOR QUALITY!
complete crap
Would Not RecommendThis thing is so incredibly cheap. The garbage who’s provided with it won’t uncurl and peices easily scraped off and falls into the gas tank
Poor hose design
Would Not RecommendI read the other reviews before buying, but thought "it can't be that bad". Bought it to transfer gasoline from gas can to vehicle. It was extremely slow and tedious. The twisted hose design was so frustrating I ended up quitting after 30 minutes of wrestling and spilling gas. Returning the product immediately.
Arnold Siphon Pump
Would RecommendWorks well, use it to Siphon water from a sumps & sewers that are at least 8 feet below grade.

You'd be better off growing the $14 out the window
Would Not RecommendI needed to transfer 3 gallons of gas from my plastic red boat gas tank into another 5 gallon can. I assembled the pump exactly as instructed ... The pump worked for about 5 or 6 pumps and quit working. After taking it apart several times to try to get it to work ... it just wouldn't. Total junk. So ... if you look at the reviews ... about 1 in 4 buyers say it's junk ... ok ... I just needed it to work one time ... I thought it would be ok to risk almost a 30% failure rate, maybe I'd be the luck...
Total Junk
Would Not RecommendPurchased this pump about 18 months ago. It worked fine the first time I used it after I got the kinks out of the hose. I attempted to use it for a second time today and the pump did nothing. handle goes up and down, but no siphon. A cheap "one and done" product.
Perfect for what I needed.
Would RecommendI was looking for a low cost way to suction water out of a tough spot. This did the job well. I did not have the hose issues others aloud to, so perhaps they have addressed this. The hoses were tough enough not to collapse and were wound in a coil and bound with zip ties so as not to have kinks. Just need to straighten them out some, insert hose and start pumping.
