Extremely disappointed

Generally I like using Valspar paint until I used this product!!!. I am surprised to see it has an overall rating of 4 stars as I would've thought more reviews would be on the lower end. My biggest complaint was the coverage of the paint was not even at all. I thought the second coat would help but it did not and was obvious a 3rd coat was going to be needed. Horrible Paint

Considering this is the second from the top of the line in Valspars exterior paint lineup and always having wonderful success from Valspar interior paint I thought this would be an excellent choice... however I'm having serious issues with the paint application, to the point where it's unusable. Great exterior latex paint

I found this paint to be easy to apply and it covered quite well. My application was not the exterior of a house but rather a bean bag/corn hole board that might be exposed to rain/snow/etc. In this application, I found the paint to be so thick/viscus and dried so quickly that I found it difficult to apply without leaving brush marks, even with a foam brush and/or foam roller. VALSPAR DURAMAX has been my life savor !!! Had used other products on the outside of my home (S.W.) to no prevail . So i switched to VALSPAR DURAMAX and WALA !!! EXCELLENT results . Dry, Cracking and Peeling

I spent hundreds of dollars and MONTHS painting my entire house, windows and garage.... and now I have peeling and cracking paint everywhere. This was only seven years ago and to say I am upset and disappointed would be an understatement. Won't dry

Are having new doors installed this week and got a Thermatru door delivered ahead of time so we could paint it. Applied 2 coats of Duramax per directions and now, after 24 hours, it's not dry. Tried to scrape the glass and paint pulled away from the adjacent frame surface. We're now afraid to install it in the frame - also new - because we're afraid the paint will stick to the weatherstripping and peel off. We're in Florida - door has been in the garage, not outside. Used this paint on my garage and front doors. Went on extremely smooth. Very happy with the finished product.

Great coverage but

Great coverage but it faded within two years really disappointed because I loved the color. But I have to say it stayed on very good has not chipped or anything. Just wished it hadn't faded and that's why I bought it because it said fade resistant .

Best paint ever

Purchased a quart to paint my double aluminum garage door smooth application, great coverage, dried quickly and was able to get it custom matched to new PVC trim color. I was so impressed I purchased 3 more quarts of different colors for a variety of painting projects I had been dreading on doing both inside and outside my home. Every project turned out great will definitely buy again.

Not Good

Used this paint in the fall of 2013 to paint my house. Didn't cover in one coat. Now it's faded so bad that paint I saved from then can't be used for touchup. Also, it''s beginning to crack and peal in some places. I'm prepping my house for sale and it looks like I'll have to paint it all over again. I expected better quality, much better.

Great Coverage

I bought 10 gal to start painting my 1600 sq ft single story house with T111 siding. The house had not been painted in many years so I figured it would soak the paint up. I also thought that going from a dark green to a light blue would require several coats. I was wrong. I am 90% done, with perfect coverage in one coat, and still have paint left in the first 5 gal bucket. I am very pleased with the hiding coverage and the easy way it rolled on.I would buy this paint again without a doubt.

Still up in the air

Just painted our white house charcoal gray. Paint didn't cover in one coat. So far I have used 5 gallons to paint one coat on 1344 sq. Hoping this wasn't a mistake after reading all the other reviews.

Excellent Product

We use Valspar Duramax white as the main coating for the Yorktown Windmill. The mill is directly on the York River waterfront, and the paint does extremely well in the harsh weather. I have used this product on many other projects and have been pleased with its performance.

Horrible!!!

In less than two years the paint has turned from green to gray where the sun hits the house. Under the porch has not faded at all and some boards that are shaded did not fade. This makes it even worse since the house looks like my two-year-old painted it with different colors. The biggest issue is even if you can get a refund or replacement on the paint, I still have to pay someone to paint my house again after only two years and it is going to cost me $1000's of dollars.

Disaster!

I tried to paint our front door with Valspar Duramax. It is a primed metal door. I scuffed and wiped down the surface before painting. When I pulled up the tape the paint came up with it. I tried to submit pictures (2MB), but your website was unable to load them.

Not happy at all!!!!

After I looked at some reviews that said this was amazing I bought it and painted my house. Bad choice! I used painters tape around the windows and some other places. After letting the paint dry for a while I peeled the tape of and with it a lot of the paint. Two different types of wood and two different 5 gallon pails of different colors. Super coverage on vinyl

We have a PVC-type exterior 'skin' on our dome, and Valspar Duramax Exterior Paint + Primer (w/ Ti3) was one of very few coatings that advertised the characteristics we needed (fade resistant, flexible, adheres to vinyl, etc.) We rolled two coats after a thorough scrubbing with a biodegradable liquid cleaner.
