I bought this to paint our garage,which is stucco and wood.The trim is vinyl and it looks great.

Love Valspar

I painted my foundation with Velvet Brown, the color looked exactly like the paper color sample. I love it! The paint went on easily, dried quickly and I only had to apply one coat. About 3 hrs after I finished painting it poured buckets, I was afraid to go out and look after the rain stopped. Much to my surprise it looked just like it did when I finished painting it. I will buy Valspar for all my painting needs.

Disapointment

I used the Duramax to paint my small garden bridge and after only a few months noticed cracks and paint peel therefore am disappointed with its ability to sustain normal outdoor conditions. As this is a newly built structure, used only occasionally, and in a fairly protected area I feel the claim of "exceptional coverage and durability" is overstated.

Great product

I applied this paint in Cream Delight semi Gloss to my new house 5 years ago. Still looks great. I put it on Hardy Board. Would highly recommend this product.

valspar is thick

valspar paint is thick and pudding like so it is a bit different than other paints i have used. it took me a bit to figure that out. now that i have figured this out i can attest to its ability to cover thoroughly and remain even after one application. i go back for more every time.

Excellent coverage

Valspar Duramax Exterior Paint is an excellent product and well worth the price. I used it to paint a mobile home three years ago, it went on well with excellent coverage and has stood up to the elements quite well. It is the only paint I will buy in the future. Just an excellent product and a pleasure to work with.

great stuff

We put this on our deck 8 years ago and it just started showing real signs of wear last summer. We plan on purchasing the same brand but a different color this year.

Old House Painting

We bought a gallon of this and painted the concrete porch on our house. We liked it so much we went back and bought this in the 5 gallon bucket and had it tinted gray. We painted the outside of our entire house with Valspar Duramax including the concrete foundation. We pressure washed all of it first and got all of the peeling paint off for prep. My painter recommended Duramax for my exterior. The paint replaced eight year old builder grade that was peeling and cracking. It was beautiful and based on the warranty I was very happy that it would last a lifetime. It helped my house finally sell in a down market.

Lasts forever

I used Duramax to paint my house over 8 years ago. I live in Texas, so we have high heat and a lot of sun (over 300 days/yr). I have never had to touch it up, have had NO cracking, chipping, peeling, blistering, chalking or fading. Not even my dark brown trim has faded. I used the Valspar primer and two coats of the Duramax over new hardiboard. I LOVE this product, and will never overpay again for 'premium' brands. I highly recommend Valspar for any job.

PRINT TOO SMALL

I wanted to read if this paint could be used to cover raw wood since it contained a primer but the print is the smallest I have ever seen on a paint can. Checkign on website, still not sure. Paint sounds like it will hold up to the extreme heat we will have against it here in desert of so. California so glad I got it, but having to guess about usage.

Easy paint to use.

Bought the white satin version for the exterior trim of my house. It was easy to apply and looks great. I don't have a lot of experience in painting, but I knew enough not to buy cheap paint. No regrets what so ever and highly recommend the product.

Next time Ultra or S/W

I have used S/W Super paint for years and have had nothing but compliments. I tried Duramax and noticed that it is a very thick paint. The application method I used was by brush, a Purdy 3". Temp. 78*, in shade. The paint dries almost immediately, it pulled and if you attempt to feather it in it only makes it worse. I added xim latex extender and it bought some time, but not much. Wow!! What can I say! This paint went on smooth and had a wonderful finish! I loved the way my walls looked that I decided to do my bathroom as well ! Will always use this brand for my house painting needs!

Wonderful!!

We painted our house last year and the job has held wonderful! We get so many compliments on our paint color and the quality is so good that we didn't need a second coating but did so otherwise. I always recommend this brand and haven't used any other for years!

Covered well

I had to paint a garage and porch that had not been painted in a while it took 2 coats but 1 year later it still looks good

Rich Color

I loved how well Valspar Duramax went on our walls.Stroke after stroke it covered evenly I believe because it has such a thick consistency that assures you get no see through spots through the paint.I could have used just one coat and it would have turned out very nice!

excellent product

Excellent product. I have painted my home with Duramax, my mother's home , my niece's home and now my sister's home. All four house's were brushed and they look great. Coverage was excellent and I love the thickness of it. Used to use True Value Weatherall and instead went with this product and all results on all four houses is beautiful.
