no spout on 5 gal. can

There is no pop up pouring spout on a 160.00 dollar can of paint. I guess you just pull out the plastic cap and make a mess trying to get it out !!!!!!!!!! STUPID product !

The color of the paint matched the color sample

I liked the paint product because I was able to use my paint sprayer which made the job easier and faster. Eventhough, I thinned the paint with water, the color was the same color as the sample paint patch.

HORRIBLE Consistency

I had purchased a gallon a couple months ago, and this was the 1st opportunity I had to use this. I needed to repaint our outside trim on windows and doors before winter and decided to use this brand. HORRIBLE. The consistency looks like skim milk, like other users had complained about. worst paint I ever used

I attempted to paint trim and a table. The paint formed small balls while I was painting. This paint does not flow. Can see every brush mark. Zero hiding power. Please note that I used a Purdy brush one of the best brushes on the marked. I will never buy another Valspar product again!

Great paint!

Used it on my garage cabinets and walls and it goes on smoothly and covers in one coat.

Went on smoothly

Used this on my front porch and it went on smoothly, I used a roller for most of the area I painted. I have been pleased with the results.

Excellent Paint

Paint was easy to apply. Viscosity of the paint allowed for full coverage of the substrate. Painted wood grain impressed siding and the paint filled into the recessed grain on the siding. I will see how it hold up to weather, but I expect good results. I have not experienced cracking or delamination of the painted surface. Excellent product. Applied 10 gallons to home.

Great Paint

I purchased this paint for a Stucco house. I sprayed in on with a Graco Magnum Project Painter Plus, with a 515 tip. The tip "fingered" frequently, but after clearing the tip it went on well. The paint is highly elastic. There was no need to back roll on the stucco. I was very happy with this paint.

Valapar paint

Good product at a reasonable price, remember to mix it well with a mixing stick every time you reopen it.

Horrible Paint, Run Away

Spent a lot of money on the Duramax paint two years ago. We did all the prep like previous reviews mentioned. It is now peeling off and we are angry! Thanks a lot Valspar, and don't try to pacify the readers here with your niceties. You know you are selling a bad product, and you should be sued for this!

Is it really priming?

I have just started using this paint. If I had read the reviews I wouldn't have bough it. However, it seems that the problems relate to the primer function and not to the paint itself. I am painting a concrete block foundation. On the older part there is paint which has been for years and in most areas is stable, even with a grinding disc. Amazing exterior Point

I bought this paint last year and re-painted the very faded shutters on my home. I had 16 shutters to paint and one gallon was more than enough. This paint is wonderful. It goes on smooth and has a wonderful finish. The shutters were put back up and completely transformed the look of my home. After a hot summer (last year) and a chilly winter I am pleased that they are not faded, and still look as good as the day they were hung. Cannot recommend this paint enough!

Poor Paint

I originally purchased two gallons of this paint. Needed another gallon so I purchased 2 additional gallons. Although the same number was on each can of paint each can was a different shade of white. My carport is now different shades of white.

Durable Exterior

Bought first gallon of blue Duramx in 2009. It enhanced the front doors and shutters of our duplexes so much. I repainted 5 yrs after initial application on surfaces that were subject to much sun. Other surfaces that faded less I painted a year later. This paint is so easy to work with and using a microfinish 1/4" nap roller gave a beautiful finish on the doors!
