When I picked up my stain I opened the can, always open before leaving. They did not add the tint. I ordered tint. unbelievable. (one time they added color to the paint and did not mix it, just a blob of color when I opened it at home and had to go back. I always check now) This is more of a gray color and looks nothing like a acorn. Returned it.

I ordered online and they sent a can of untinted base so cannot be used. On Minwax wedsite saw lots of complaints with Lowes for doing this. No one near me had this color so ordered online, not driving a long way to get it tinted. Suggest you go to a store to buy.

Great coverage
This is a great stain if you need a water based stain. I had done a paint wash on a furniture piece, and it didn’t achieve the color I wanted. This water based stain worked well, and I was able to apply it over the paint wash instead of having to sand to bare wood again.

Expected much better from this brand
Minwax makes some really good, affordable products. They tend to hit the sweet spot on cost-vs-value. Well... unfortunately, this isn't one of their better products. It goes on thickly, has a very short working time, and is incredibly difficult to remove. If you buy this, work in VERY SMALL sections.
