Would Not Recommendgave me a general idea of stud location but still had to drill test hole - would go back and forth over stud trying to narrow location down, sometimes good sometimes wrong. seemed like good design, easy to use and had the features I wanted, just didn't work as well as I hoped didn't spend a lot so I didn't lose much

Would Not RecommendBought this just hours ago, dropped in brand new battery and it very accurately misses every time. I have studs showing up at 2 1/4-2 3/8" wide and half way into switch boxes. Will be returning this tomorrow for a refund and maybe looking for something at HD or on the web as lowes only carries one other super el cheapo finder. Do your self a favor and find something else. Dont depend on this cause its going to you in trouble.
