It finds the studs very easily what else is there to say

This was in the lower 1/3 of the cost amounts and it works great.

Okay, but inconsistent

Product inconsistently identifies "hot" electrical wiring to the point where it is essentially useless for that purpose.

If you’re looking for Sheetrock this is for you! Not for finding studs :)

I have used it to find two studs. The first time it worked perfectly. I was impressed. The second time it was wrong four times in a row (e.g. I drilled four holes in the wrong place). I resorted to knocking on the wallboard with my knuckles until the sound changed. In other words, I did found the stud the old-fashioned manual way without Zircon's help. Absolute garbage.

If you would like to drill holes over and over without hitting a stud, then look no further. Purchase this worthless paperweight and turn your walls into swiss cheese.

after 3 bad holes, I took out an air conditioner filter and just reached in and felt where the stud was.

Did not work for me

After studying the demo models in the store, it looked like this model should work for me. Unfortunately, when I got it home, it was not reliable. It may have been because I was attempting to “see” through the ceremic tiles in the bathroom, or above the tiles between the installed medicine cabinet and possible additional supporting framework. Perhaps the more expensive/professional model would have worked. But I did not want to pay that much for a one time project.

Works as it should

I had a stud finder for years, but didn't realize that it was a hit and miss effort with it until I bought this one. It works the way the instruction says it should. Additionally the lighting of the edge of the stud I find to be very helpful.

We bought this to help hang a few things in our house. The lights on the device would come on, but that's about it. It couldn't sense any studs or wires. We even tried moving it over a spot where we could visibly see a stud above it (through a vent) and nothing. Tried everything to make it work-different directions, different speeds-nothing! Definitely do not recommend this product!

Suited My Needs

Works well through drywall on the "Stud Scan" setting for finding wall studs, they may show a little fatter than actual. On the "Deep Scan" setting I can find floor joists under 2 layers of plywood (5/8" + 1/2"). It also alerted on energized cables! Turn the breaker off & no alert.

Apparently everything is a stud

Just rocked around our fireplace and trying to install the wood mantel surround. Obviously I want to have it attached to studs for stability, but apparently the wall either has moving studs or is one entire stud. The finder is functioning in one of 3 ways. I am either constantly having to remove the battery and put it back in to reset the finder as it gets stuck in "stud found" mode; When it doesn't get stuck, it shows there is a stud then goes off and when I go back over the same spot the stud...

Didn't work

Didn't work properly missed studs by 1 1/2 inches every time , must have been calibrated wrong , bought it to avoid making extra holes to find studs and ended up with just that !

This is easy to use and works well for a person who is not a trained carpenter.

Total waste of money

I tried using it over and over again but it just not doing it's job. Mostly it will work when I scan from left to right but when I scan from right to left it goes into an error mode. ALWAYS. No exceptions.
