What Customers Are Saying

Customers overwhelmingly praise this primer for exceptional coverage and reliability across challenging surfaces. Most highlight its unmatched ability to hide dark colors, stains, water damage, and nicotine residue in one or two coats, often outperforming competitors. Reviewers consistently note smooth application with rollers or brushes, quick drying, and versatility on drywall, wood, OSB, and ceilings. Many emphasize strong value, especially in larger sizes, and report using it for years without switching. A few mention needing two coats on heavily stained surfaces, though most consider this expected. Overall, customers view it as an industry standard they trust and recommend.

Very Happy With This Product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Hubby is happy with the ease of this product. Doing some repainting and needing to prime first, we went with the Zinsser - Bulls Eye 1-2-3 product. Had 3 rooms we were painting so, needed to prime the 3 rooms first. This primer worked great for us.

Way better thank Killz

Would Recommend

I definitely prefer bulls eye now after years of using killz primer for decks and outdoor use. The bulls eye is a thicker paint, goes on beautifully and sticks better.

1-2-3... GO!

I've used this for years on various interior and exterior projects of my home built in 1957 which I bought in 2008. Excellent adhesion on new siding, dark old paint stucco and eaves, various colors of stained and unpainted pickets, new textured drywall, and old painted drywall. One coat seals the surface. Tools I've used are brushes, rollers, Wagner and Graco sprayers.
