Ratings & Reviews for Westinghouse iGen2550c Recoil Start 2550 Starting / 1900 Running Watt Gasoline Single Fuel Inverter Generator

Super features

If started easy, I am happy with that. and it works great for what I won't. Works with homee and %th wheel.

Works great

Easy to carry and is quiet when it is running. Easy to set up and run on propane.

Great features

I recently purchased this unit, it is easy to start, quiet, and light weight. I am very happy with it.

reliable and powerful enough for camping.

I'm incredibly impressed with this generator. We recently put it to the test, running it for two full days straight, and it performed flawlessly. The digital display is a great feature, giving you clear readouts on its status. It's surprisingly quiet for a generator, which is a huge plus when you're trying to enjoy the peace of nature. We hooked it up to our gear, and it provided consistent, reliable power without a hitch. If you're looking for a dependable portable power source for camping, tai...

perfect size

Just purchased for an upcoming hunting trip. Love the size and features. Also impressed with low noise level

Zero support from Westinghouse!

I read all the good reviews and thought I was making a good choice in buying the iGen 2550DFc. I could not have been more wrong. It appeared to run fine on propane out of the box. Started, ran for 15 minutes, everything looked good... until I tried to do the recommended 5 hour run-in at half power. The generator started and ran fine for 50 minutes then quit for no obvious reason. It started right back up but only ran for 20 minutes before quitting again. Like last time, it re-started easily, ...

Convenient generator for occasional boondocking!

Wanted a small generator that would be easy to lift in and out of pickup truck bed for a long road trip from Arizona through western Canada. This will supplement our solar/lithium battery system during our boondocking days/nights, and wanted dual fuel for flexibility. Already own 2 of Westinghouse's larger model, iGen4500DF. All are a great value compared to other brands!

Replacement needed

Purchased two of this model to run in parallel. One of the two would not start. Returned for a replacement with no issues. Like that these are light so it's easy to transport with our RV.

Meets our needs.

WE NEEDED A LIGHT WEIGHT PORTABLE FOR OUR CAMPING RV AIRCONDITIONER.

Great inverter

This is a great inverter so far. I am still breaking it in so I don’t know the long term reliability will be.

Great little inverter

I have used this in my shop and it works great. Bought the dual fuel model in case of fuel shortages. Recently used it to keep our 2 freezers when the power went out. Comes with everything to get started

Portable easy start

Just purchased this generator due to the increasing storms and power outages ! Liked the price the portability and the easy starting Would definitely recommend!!

Nice product

Nice size, perfect for camping, or occasional power outage. Love the light weight.

Great Generator

I love the the size, quietness, and easy to start

runs great

runs great as expected. not too noise. item net weight 27lb maybe too heavy for portable type. filled with oil provided. will replace with full systhetic oil afterwards.

Very new to be having issues!

The inverter model I wanted for a fuel savings for smaller and more frequent use. I've only had it a little over 2 weeks and it's having trouble staying running until it warms up. It's July in the US (not cold) so this makes me concerned about using it in a Minnesota Winter (it will be well below freezing). I'm following all the rules so I'd expect to not have any issues so soon. It does dip gas when it's going and it uses a fraction of the fuel compared to my large Predator model. I'm not s...

New generated/ inverter

Just bought this unit, so far so good. Hoping for good use during hurricane season

Light weight, pretty quiet.

A friend has one, likes it, so I bought one. Had a predator 9000 before because we had a much larger rv. That piece was very loud and weighed 200 pounds. I like the light weight on this but I think Westinghouse should automatically include the different jets as part of the purchase.

Just purchased and not run.

I purchased this one to be able to use propane and the handy 30 amp connection. I have a gas Westinghouse Gen which has served me well for the past 3 years so I am guessing this will also.

Great sorce of power

I bought this for my family camping trip it works great. Run everything including the air conditioner very well. The bad is i took it out of the box with a broken side cover
