Would RecommendI bought this in an emergency situation! My washer slop sink was over flowing and my main drain had collapsed right out side my home! I had about 1/4" of water in spots through-out my basement and I was taking in ground water at about 25gph and needed a smaller pump to eliminate the water. Could not flush the toilets fearing bad sewage. The problem with this pump is IT NEEDS TO BE submerged below water height level needed! In a pump well this little guy PUMPS AMAZINGLY Well! Could handle easily ...

Reliable ... Work horse .... Peace of mind!
Would RecommendHad this pump since 2008 and just replaced it with the same model ... Our sump pit is always filling year round and pumps 3 to 5 times per hour removing about 5 gallons each time ... it runs continuously when it rains ... Great pump.... I just replaced it with a new one for peace of mind. Great pump!

Pump cord matches Flotec pump socket
Would RecommendI had a sump pit that the pump wire and float wire that went under concrete. The float line has failed and replaced the pump with the float switch tethered into the pump. The great thing is I unscrewed the plug from a Flotec pump and screwed it into this pump with a match. NO SPLICING NEEDED. THEY MADE A CHANGE TO THE MODEL AND BELIEVE THE OLD MODEL HAS THE 2 CORD SYSTEM. THE NEW MODEL HAS THE 1 CORD SYSTEM. Be careful which one it is, my store and 2 of each model.

Emergency Drainage
Would RecommendThis pump fits into a storm drain catch basin. Temporary use. The height required for float actuation as delivered is a little too much it starts and stops when watched but the float is right at the limits of the basin height. Really heavy downpours are too much for the existing drain pipe so this pump was needed to move the water away from the lawn-level patio.

Easy peasy lemon squeasy
Would RecommendWe are not handy people. I didn't even know what the heck was in that hole in the basement. I only knew it kept water out. Then it broke. Now I know. This was so easy to install and cheap. Problem solved. It is so much quieter than the last one too! I would recommend a backup battery and another one of these pumps on standby just in case it breaks or the power goes out.

Over the past two years I have bought three other pumps from Loves, all of which are installed in different homes I own. Are are still active during heavy rains and work well.I have only good to say about these pumps.

float problem
Would Not RecommendThis pump has the kind of float that is hanging from the wire on the pump and it needs more space than your average sump pum hole provides, thus the float hits the wall and can hang up and not turn on when the water rises. I had to losen the clamp screw that holds the wire and shorten it to get it to work properly. Next time I will spend a little extra money and get the pump that has a float that slides up and down on a rod.
Gets It Done
Would RecommendThis pump was easy to install and is doing the job. I replaced a Zoeller pump that went bad with this model and so far it is working as it should. It has a totally different float system than my old pump, but during a recent downpour, this pump performed perfectly by pumping out the water when it reached a certain height. Only time will tell if it's durable and reliable, but so far so good.

So far so good
Would RecommendI installed this in my basement to stop the flooding I issue I was having. I can't speak to it's long term durability because I just installed it, but it works great.

Switch is sketchy and inconsistent.
Would RecommendRelies on a gravity switch which twists; pump discharges as different water levels depending on where the switch is floating.

Good Job!
Would RecommendWe put this in our basement after three days of flooding. It works really well. Have no problems with it.
Don't waste your money on this one
Would Not RecommendMy Utilitech Model PPSP33 sump pump was about 20 months old when the unit failed. I believe the failure occurred internally within the float mechanism. It was quiet and operated smoothly for the first 18 months before failing. I've tested it several times and it will no longer turn on. My sump pit only needs pumping out about 5 days of the year and the water is very low sediment. I'm glad that I kept the prior 10-year old sump pump that was previously in the sump pit. The old one still worked fi...
pumps fine but noisy
Would Not RecommendMy pump was easy to install, and pumped flawlessly, and quietly, from the start. I didn't have any trouble with the tethered float switch; I didn't do anything to it. Now, about a month later, it still pumps fine, but is noisy. It is so noisy I can plainly hear it upstairs every time it runs. I don't want to listen to that noise every time it pumps, and I'm planning to sell the house soon. So, I'll have to find another brand that will hopefully be quiet, and stay quiet. I wanted a plastic case p...
