Failed after just FIVE MONTHS

Our old sump pump was 9 years old and failed one day before we left for vacation (May 19). We bought and installed this one the same day, and had no issues the remainder of spring and summer. After a long dry period, we had a weekend of typical fall rain and I went to the basement to find the carpet soaked. We figured since it had been dry for so long, that the pump was just temporarily locked up. We got it going again by jiggling the float. One week later, heavier rain, and the pump failed...

Think twice before purchasing Utilitech pumps

I purchased one of the Utilitech’s 1/3 HP pump (At this pump’s current price) 2 years ago and it died on me already. I purchased a Pumps Away 350 gph (For a quarter of this Utilitech’s price.) and the Pumps Away pump is still working! (Both pumps were used in identical conditions.)

10 Months & Failed

I bought two from Lowe's in October 2018, one main one backup. It's mid-July and I found the breaker tripped. Here the secondary failed I mid-July 2019. I have no confidence in this brand at all. Spend extra for a better brand. Due to heavy rainfall and an emergency I didn't have a choice. I do now. It's between Wayne and Zoeller. Utilitech's cheap throwaways that don't last.

Do not buy

I bought this product and it only lasted 2 months before it fried itself. One day I could see smoke coming out of it still submerged.

Needed Autmatic pump and prie was right

I have not actually installed yet, butwil replace avery old Utilitech (non-float) pump with this one

A Tremendous Value

Very quiet running and pumps a good steady volume of water once activated by its automatic floatation sysystem

SUMP PUMP

WORKS GREAT. GOT IT IN PLACE UNDER HOUSE AND STARTED PUMPING ALOT OF WATER. GREAT PRODUCT FOR LOW AREAS.

Pump is Junk

Only six months old and float stopped working. Only worked when float was held at weird angles. Threw away and bought a Ridgid pump from Home Depot.

Terrible Tether Float

The installation was very easy. The pump works very well as far as moving water quickly. Wasn't too noisy. The major problem just seems to be a major design flaw in the float. I adjusted to every possible length, modified it to have the float go to different positions. No matter what I do I have to allow there to be almost 2 feet of standing water in there before it triggers. The float also will stay completely underwater and will not trigger. It would trigger sometimes and then the water would ...

Needed a pump that would start quicker than this one. Float was too high.

Simple replacement

Old pump corroded through case and popped the circuit breaker. This pump fit perfectly and replacement took 30 minutes. Saved a bundle. It's not rocket science.
