Would RecommendLike the capacity of th I s spreader, and intial use it worjed good, but apparently some the fertilizer I was using was damp and somewhat wet. us spreader completly clogged up and would not spread at recommended setting if 5, had to adjust c setting up to 8 or better to get fertizer to spread. Was ver disappointed and was more ferti3 then was called for and wasted alot and of fertilizer.

super cheaply made "Sta-Green"
Would Not RecommendVery dissatisfied with the whole Lowes experience this time. The spreaders they had on display in the garden area of the Galax store, were mostly not in boxes and very dirty with residue of fertilizer etc in the hopper. As I checked out the wheel fell off before I got out the door and then fell off again as I was putting it in my vehicle. I could see how cheaply it was made and I'm not even going to use it but just take it back. Lowes is good about returns. No more "Sta-Green " for me!

Lowes selling used spreaders
This is not a review of the spreader, though I chose the Scotts version because I really like the edgeguard. At the Chancelor Park dr Lowes, they are selling worn and used Sta-green spreaders. They are all stacked up like new, but they all had debris in them, like they had been used and not cleaned out. Many had worn plastic wheels and the worst one had a crack in the foam handle cover and the tread on wheels was actually worn down to almost smooth! The Scotts spreaders also had debris in ...
