Ratings & Reviews for Sta-Green Precision Broadcast Spreader 32-lb Capacity Compatible with Fertilizer, Seed

No Good!

Have to return the wheels came off the second time I used it!

No web support to help with dial settings

It's 2021 but if they have a web site to help you convert for other brands or even pounds per 1000 sqft on the dial I cannotfind it. It's a huge time-waster if you use anything but Sta Green products in it, which is impractical. 1900 level support in a 2020 world.

Where are the settings guidelines?

This spreader seems to work ok once you get going but I am used to Scott’s spreaders where most fertilizer gives you a setting to start with. I haven’t found a bag of fertilizer yet that acknowledges a Sta-Green Spreader!? The feed also isn’t very consistent as I have to bounce it every 20 feet or so to keep the fertilizer spreading at an even rate. This is with a new bag of Scott’s weed and feed. On the positive side the hopper is larger than my last spreader so that is a plus to not requir...

Sta Green Broadcast spreader

I use this for spreading salt. I attached the other wheel and axel together. no more wheel slipping

Good value in a broadcast spreader

This spreader seems well constructed. It has a large hopper. The handle folds down so that it requires less space for storage. It does a good job distributing fertilizer. The only downside is that there is no built-in mechanism for shielding or blocking an area (such as a sidewalk) from fertilizer. But overall, this spreader works well.

Sta green seed spreader

I ordered the seed spreader for a gift . It arrived used with dirt still in it .

Doctor of snow removal

Easy peasy to use. You will wonder why you waited so long. You will pray for snow. You will dance in your back yard to the snow gods , hoping and praying for that first flake. It’s light weight and easy to use. Run, don’t walk, and buy one now!!

Dirty

Extremely dirty filled wit seed or something else that is kept on upper shelves They keep these outside . They had to be there all year . They are assembled but have zip tie on them so can't be checked before purchase . This is a $50 item . Your call .Maybe just this store . Should at lest package these in clear plastic .

Sta-Green 32 lb. spreader

This speaker works very, very well. It seems to be well built. It’s spread lime pellets out about 5 feet . Be sure the hose down the bin and spreader opening and spreader rotary disc.

Would not close

During first use spreading granular fertilizer, it would not close as it should when releasing the handle. This made it impossible to stop the flow of fertilizer when making turns. I returned it after the first use. I will now look for a model that opens and closes the flow manually.

Sta Green Spreader

I bought this due to previous failure's on my Scott's Easy Green- Edge Gard spreaders Both failed due to poorly designed spindle mechanism. Unfortunately the Sta-Green product uses the same cheap plastic spindle mechanism. Since the two Scott's spreaders failed in a single season of use (used only for lawn fertilizer, not salt) I do not think this one will fair any better.

Good quality

Great value...good quality...I would definitely recommend to friends!

Handle breaks down easily for storage.

Product Was in Horrible Condition

Ordered this online and picked up. It was dirty when ai picked it up, but didn’t notice till I got it home that the handle as significantly rusted. Returned it for a refund. Couldn’t believe that whoever picked this would pick something in such cruddy condition.
