Ratings & Reviews for Sta-Green Precision Broadcast Spreader 32-lb Capacity Compatible with Fertilizer, Seed

Good Spreader--

Works very well--like the hand switch--keeps from loosing material during pauses and turns--better than any other I have had..

Does the job

Nothing special for a higher price. I didn’t like how rough movements were.

Best for small to medium lawns.

This spreader is worth the money. It is pretty consistent in its application. You need to know be able to convert fractions to their number system in order to make you opening correct. So if you are okay with that it is a good value.

Arrived in horrible shape

Was obviously thrown into a box with other heavy items - poorly packed. Box had holes all over it with tape torn. Spreader was filthy with bird crap all over it.

You will probably get the same service.

Old looking, dirty and covered in bird crap, and two roaches' ran out of it, when it arrived. Called CS, 30 minutes on hold, they said, "well,, it must have been sitting outside" do you deliver this to a customers home, like this? Disgusting!!

Works well until it doesn't

Bought the Sta-green spreader a few years back and it worked fine until the little agitator/impeller/ thing that pushes material into the hole wore out after a couple of seasons. It is plastic and it is poorly constructed and cheap. Is there a replacement available? There is an 800 tel. no. on the spreader but it is automated and leaves you in the ozone on endless hold; there is no web support that I could find; and Lowes has no idea.

Spreader settings are not on product bags. Wished I realize this before I bought it.

Only good for occasional use.

Item arrived dirty with handle bent. It works OK but the handle & opening sometimes sticks in the open position which means losing granules until you manually close the hatch. Wouldnt buy again .

A sturdy spreader for the money. I have only used it once but like it so far.

Good

Good for fertilizer.... No good for flour when baking.

Small Spreader works

This spreader is a little smaller than my last one which was of a different "Green" brand. It works just as well as the other brand but is quite a bit cheaper. The last "Green" one rusted at the axle and came apart. I can' tell you how long this one will last but it works well and I didn't have to spend so much on it.
