Speedout-pro will work removing broken screws

Great set for small jobs.

I had an old screw that must’ve been put in with a worn out screwdriver so I couldn’t get it back out. I’m a real fan of the left-handed drill bit on this screw extractor set because it worked. I thought it would be more work getting the screw out than it turned out to be because when I used the left-handed drill bit to drill a hole for the extractor the drill bit itself brought the screw out.

This worked, but I used too large a tool first

I used this to remove a small wood screw that I had screwed into a gnarly piece of 2x4. I guessed wrong as to which extractor I should use and ended up removing the entire head. Tried a different screw with a smaller tool and it worked fine. Notice that the back of the packaging shows the diameter of each extractor, but this info is not included in the box. Suggest printing it on the back of the card in the box.

Good tool to attempt before damaging threads!

As of late I have been refreshing several frame parts on my truck and trailer and have run into stripped screws and bolts because of rust, over torquing or over zealous dealer mechanics. Awesome Tool

This little tool is amazing. In under 2 minutes, I was able to extract a tiny rounded screw from my micro compact gun's optic plate. The directions are clear and simple. There are 4 small drill bits that should cover any stripped screw situation. I highly recommend adding this set to your toolbox.

Super useful in case of stripped screws and bolts

I got a set of 3 types of SpeedOut Pro Extractors: Regular screw, Micro Screw, and Bolt extractors. I only used the regular and micro screw extractors for actual work, but have the Bolt extractors on hand "just in case". I have to say that these are indeed pretty high quality and work fine with my Ryobi drill. It latches on with ease (screw on reverse, forward extract). Very easy to use and gets the job done when you have something stuck.

The Whole Process Is Pretty Easy To Do

I am getting much better at using the Speedout Pro Extractors. On this one I used the "Micro Extractor to remove a small wall face-plate screw First I used the largest one, ( the kit contains 4 different sizes ) " drill out in reverse end of the extractor". That starts the digging into the damaged screw. Next I used the other end which on the package is referred to as the "Flip Bit" This cleans it out and allowed me to remove the screw. Another great product from the SpeedOut makers. As usual it works excellent for removing stripped screws and takes very little time and effort to do so.

Not many others offer this small of size. I got these in a pack and used the next size up to remove a stripped torx screw. They work perfectly. I like having the two ends in one bit to prep the area and then extract. The case is nice too.

They did the job

I got this extraxtor set so that I could replace some broken coat hooks. The packaging is sleek and simple. The bits themselves are sturdy. I like how simple to use these bits can be. Tapping into the stripped screws with the drill side of the bits was almost effortless. I was unable to get the other end to bite on the freshly tapped screws, but did end up extracting them with the tapping end. They did the job in the end, but I'm not sure why the gripping end wouldn't bite.

Easy to use screw extractor.

Set up a 2 x 4 with hardware screwed in to test this product. I then rounded out the screw of the head. Followed the instructions on the Speed out screw remover. The screw remover worked as expected, screw came out with ease.

Well made held up great

I never thought I would need different sizes but these worked extremely well. Do yourself a favor pick up the set they come in multiple sizes you'll definitely need them.

Great addition to my toolbox

I've stripped out tons of soft computer screws over the years, and finally having an extractor that fits them an awesome milestone. I do wish the case had a label on it and guessing the size extractor takes an extra minute as I had to change back and forth to find the best bit as drilling it out and then extracting the screw is not always just about flipping the bit over, but trying them out to see what grips best.

Worked well.

There are four screw extractors with two different sides. They remove the screws that are broken or stripped. Once you pick the correct bit, the process goes pretty smoothly. They are durable and sturdy for the job at hand.

Great for size # 4, 6, and 8

Based on the P\package screw diameters listed, this is for wood screws # 3, 4, 6, and 8. To test this product, I put 3 of each screw in oak and drilled out the Philips heads. This was a challenge for the #3 screws as they seemed to be hardened.and some of the heads snapped off. The extractors have 2 sides. Stripped screws are easy with this extractor

Easily attachable to the drills we have and easy to use. It does take a little more effort to apply pressure to get the stripped screw out but works well!

Micro-Magic

This review is for the Speed Out brand of extractors. Specifically, the micro screw extractors in size 4,5,6 & 7. The screw extractors are made of steel and are two sided. One side is meant to pre-drill the screw head and the other side has the extraction tool. The drill portion of the tool is ok but not nearly as effective as a new drill bit. Each side is used in reverse drill operation and works best when used at slow speeds. I found that higher speeds tend to ruin in knurled end and lose grip...

Got this to remove smaller screws that were damaged or stripped. Was worried due to how thin they are but they worked out well. They didn’t shear off and I was able to remove the screw without issue. Overall, these bad boys worked out good.

Small Damaged Screw Removal

The kit comes with 4 sizes of removal bits, and of course double-headed. I don't believe I've encountered such small damaged screws to remove. The holding case needs to be redesigned, as the bits seems to fall-out of its assigned holder (maybe 2 holding tabs instead of 1).

Micro screw extractor

This micro screw extractor is very durable and will hold up very well. Same design as the large extractor. This will be a very helpful tool when you have stripped screw heads.
