I bought 2 sets, the other set had the sizes I needed and worked well. Expect this to do the same.

Completely useless

This product is a complete joke and an absolute waste of money. I tried it on a broken screw in a wooden folding chair, which should be a pretty easy job, and the "drill bit" wouldn't even scratch the metal of the screw. The instructions are hopelessly optimistic and claim it will extract a screw in "10 seconds or less". I cannot imagine an application where this product would actually work, unless your screws are made of copper or something. Save yourself some hassle and buy an actual extra...

Extracts Soft Metal Screws in a Jiff!

This product works really well on extracting small, soft metal screws – it took me about 30 seconds to extract a stripped screw! I tested this tool out by screwing a ¾” #6 brass wood screw into a 2x4, then drilling out the head to represent it being stripped. I popped one of the Speed Out bits into my drill, and it drilled out a pocket into the head fairly swiftly. Micro screw extractor set, 4 pieces.

The 4 piece screw extractor set is great for stripped screws. Simple design, drill out on one end and flip over for the screw extractor. Set is more for smaller screws which is nice. Seems to be made with high quality steel and durable looking. I do recommend this set for smaller applications. This is definitely a plus for my tools collection.

Decent micro tool

I was using a 21 volt Dewalt cordless drill to use these micro extractors. You place it on the drill like you would any other drill bit. Make sure it's tight. When using it against a screw you have to make sure the drill is set on reverse. I used these micro drill bits on two different types of wood screws and they truly struggled to remove the screws. I eventually got 1 out but the second I had to upgrade to a bigger bit.

Great for small screws

The screw extractor set came with 4 dual-sided bits of different sizes suitable for extracting smaller stripped screws of 3-6mm size. The drill bits are made of steel and are compatible with any standard drill. The extractor bits came in a box that holds all the bits in place safely. I was able to drill a stuck screw from one of the bits and then extract using the other end of the same bit.

Good set

Extractor worked great. Didn’t have to drill a pilot hole in order to use as the burnishing end was able to start cutting right in on the screw head. Changed to threaded end and pulled screw right out.

Speedout Was So Helpful I Now Have a Set

I had stripped a screw and to make things worse, I was having a hard time reaching it. I was completely screwed because I could not get it out, nor grab it with pliers, and could not cut it off. There was no room to get into where this screw was. I was giving up hope and about to use a sledgehammer. As a last resort I tried the Speedout Pro. Initially I had no luck and more curses were heard. I finally realized I was not following directions and using the Screw gun the wrong direction (duh...

works great as intended. did take a little muscle to get the bit to bite but once it did and i used the right size it worked no problem. This was a 3 set so that was almost. has every size needed for the job

Love these

I get so frustrated dealing with weak metal screws that strip so easily and you can't get them out. Well this was the answer. Super easy to use, and the small bit size makes them good for all but the smallest screws up to heavy duty.

When you are out of options use this!

The instructions make it seem easy but for some reason I always find it difficult to remove screws this way. I would say this is the last resort when you need to save the hole for a future screw. I do find it works better for smaller screws with softer material and less force. That said, if the screw location is not important I prefer to use a grinder. It's not bad to have on your kit, but it will take a bit of effort to get working.

Great for screws on electronics

I stripped a screw on the bottom panel of my laptop and was hesitant to use anything that might damage the computer. I gave this extractor a try and it worked! It requires some patience and steady hands but works if done correctly. They are really small but very durable and easy to control. The compact case keeps the bits from getting lost. For small jobs, this is hands-down the most reliable micro extractor I’ve used.

Works well if the head is still present

I occasionally run into situations where screws fail to extract due to a damaged head or a head snaps while driving the screw. In both cases the damaged is usually done while driving the screw, even if it's not obviously damaged until you start to remove it. The idea behind this extractor set is that you can use a drill to remove the screw, rather than the hand turned screw extractors that I have lots of experience with. Great on those smaller screws, but not glasses

I was really hopping to use these stripped glasses screws, but they were too bit for those. They did come in handy when removing some stripped screws on the cabinetry when I had to renovate! The micro speed outs work just like their big brother counter parts, just for smaller screws. It was a bit awkward using the smaller bits in the big driver, but worked really well to remove a stripped light switch screw.
