Would RecommendI’m so glad I got this. I swore I’d never buy a big gas chainsaw, sticking only with my little handheld and corded electric pole saw. This is so easy to handle and it does a great job cutting the downed limbs to size. It’s built very well and is a joy to use.

Quality doesn't measure up to other SKIL products
Chainsaw couldn't cut through small shrub stump under 3" without smoking and ultimately failing. I regret purchasing this product, though I love my SKIL mower and string trimmer. This one doesn't measure up.

Saw is great, battery is terrible!
Saw cuts through wood like a hot knife going through butter. Battery dies after 15 to 20 mins of work, then you have to wait for the battery to cool down so that you can put it in the charger (which takes about an hour to charge). So, work for 15-20 mins, then wait 1 1/2 hours to work again for 15-20 mins...over and over and over...

Would RecommendGood tool for a battery operated chainsaw. Very useful with smaller items needing to be cut, but not quite strong enough for large tough wood cuts

Good little chainsaw
Would RecommendGood quality for the price. Some major branches came off a very large tree and it cut through with no issues. Easy to use. My only issue of not giving it 5 stars is the break is fairly flimsy plastic and I can see that breaking pretty easily.

The right tool for the job.
Would RecommendThe chaisaw serves my needs perfectly. It's primary use is cutting up and clearing limbs downed by storms on our residential property. I purchased a spare battery after reading other reviews. That proved to be a good decision as some more extensive cleanups may deplete one battery before completion.

Would RecommendGood power, well balanced saw, kit comes with a 2.5 amp hr battery and charger. You're going to want another battery. Good value at the price point. The only negative is the blade tension system, easy to use but a standard 2 bolt system would keep the bar tighter.

Would RecommendExcellent Saw. Keep the chain sharp and it fly through a log. I have four Skil products. Three share the same battery and makes it easy to manage the power and have a battery ready to go. I also have the mower which is great.
