Would RecommendI had brought in 3 dump truck loads of topsoil, some area's (not sure why), the grass seed did not germinate, So I purchased the Scott's Grass and sod lawn soil. followed the directions, (1 inch thickness), put new grass seed out on top - Hand watered daily, 8-10 days later I could seend the grass seed sprouting, and things seem to be looking good.

Would RecommendI have been dealing with some bare spots for some time now and bought this hoping it could help. I mixed it half and half per directions, and I am thrilled to finally get grass to grow, I kept the grass seed wet as usual, but this time in one week it was almost unreal the amount of new grass and instead of dying it is growing like crazy. So they now have a new customer for life.

Would RecommendI purchased several bags of this in hopes of filling in holes in yard. I have zoysia grass and some remaining grass clippings causes craters r holes. I have tried several soils products with very little results. As I was walking through Lowe’s outdoor selection of soil products , I saw this product that address lawn soil issues It has been an outstanding choice. Would RecommendPurchase Scott's lawn top soil on sale. I have use this topsoil before, it's a great value because it's a rich soil plus it has starter fertilizer to help grow your grass seeds.
There are better options.
Filled with large wood sticks and that I had to remove. Garbage.
Has a lot of clods.
Seems to work. But if you want a good turf, you have to break up all the clods to actually get soil and not a bunch of clods which won't really accept seeds. Still waiting to see if grass grows.
