Would RecommendI bought a few bags at a time for a total of abt 12. Many of them had a lot of wood chips which makes it hard for patch/seed to grow through. Easy to put down and I tamped it down with my shoes but the bags with wood chips washed away in the rain as there was t a lot of soil. The bags that didn’t have wood chips were moist and rich looking. A bit pricey. I had huge holes to fill. Luckily soul crushing as on sale.

Good soil, but very lumpy
Bought a total of 16 bags for reseeding several large bare spots in my lawn. I found the Lawn Soil to be mostly free of twigs and stones. My only issue was that it had compressed into large lumps that required a lot of effort to break up. They made it difficult to mix the Lawn Soil with the existing dirt as directed. But the new seed has had started growing well, so it appears to have done the job.

After 10 years of testing other products, I found this soil and I would 1000% recommend. I used it with Pennington contractor seed and within two weeks grass grew. I still spread it onto my existing grass and I am a very, very, very satisfied, customer. I will keep using this throughout the years. I highly highly highly recommend.

This is the 2nd year in a row that i have used this product to spot seed areas in my lawn.Although it works well as a base for seed, and I've had good germination results while using Scott's seed in conjunction with it,I think the product should be sifted of large pieces of bark and twigs,glass,plastic,and small rocks.I don't know about anyone else but I find myself removing these pieces of large organic matter and other assorted trash during application that will hinger germination results.A fi...
