What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise this lawn soil for promoting rapid grass growth and repairing bare spots, with most reporting visible results within days or weeks of application. Many highlight its effectiveness when mixed with grass seed and appreciate how easily it spreads and levels uneven ground. However, some customers express frustration about inconsistent composition, noting excessive wood chips, mulch, and debris requiring sifting. Despite these concerns, the majority consider it a reliable, worthwhile solution for lawn restoration and report repurchasing it repeatedly.

Would RecommendGreat for growing grass
Bought five bags to level up a part of my yard to improve drainage. This soils tends to hold enough moisture to aid in new seed germination. Great product!
Not much above average in quality.
Would Not RecommendThis brand was not much better for overseeding than others I have bought in the past. More filler materials than o expected
Top Soil
Would RecommendThis is a nice rich soil, no sticks. Spreads nicely.
The lawn is making a come back
Not the best product
This soil has too much bark in it and although it’s an expensive option with fertilizer the soil itself isn’t the best. Go with Black Kow instead.

Clumps in the bag
Would RecommendI bought this as it was on sale. Generally I don't buy Scott's products. I bought and used twelve bags to replace a piece of my lawn. It works as it should. There is noticeable amount of wood debris mixed in the product. I'm not going to rave about a bag of dirt. The stuff out the back was packed into clumps, and needed to be worked to spread about .
This is good dirt
