Not the best product
This soil has too much bark in it and although it’s an expensive option with fertilizer the soil itself isn’t the best. Go with Black Kow instead.
Clumps in the bag
Would RecommendI bought this as it was on sale. Generally I don't buy Scott's products. I bought and used twelve bags to replace a piece of my lawn. It works as it should. There is noticeable amount of wood debris mixed in the product. I'm not going to rave about a bag of dirt. The stuff out the back was packed into clumps, and needed to be worked to spread about .

Would RecommendThis is best grass soil I've bought, bar none. I just planted a 5 x 5 area about 10 days ago, and you can barely distinguish it from the regular lawn now.
The right foundation in bare areas, gives your seeding a better chance. Early spring and fall is when I use it.
