Great product for making stairs look new again

Just used 19 of these in my house that was built in 1926. Did a very nice job. Stained and varnished to a nice finish. Got rid of all the noise in the old stairs. Only problem Lowes did not stock the retro risers in oak so I had to buy 3/4" oak risers and take them to my buddies shop and plane them down.

Easy remodel

Tired of your old squeaky, worn, carpet stairs? Look no further... these are your answer. First, ripped out the carpet, then cut the nose off the subtread with a circular saw and cleaned up the edges with a wood chisel. Used 2" wood screws with 3/32 pilot holes to eliminate the squeaky subtreads! Then cut each of these guys to fit each specific step. No comparison! So much easier to retread vs new tread. Not having to remove old treads was well worth the extra $8 per tread.

The treads are beautiful. They gave my sad steps a new life. Measure carefully and READ the instructions. If you use the correct adhesive they set properly. Worth the money!

These are amazing very easy to install. When I purchased my house the stairs has tiles on them, which I hated. After researching for a year how to change them out with paying to break the tiles and putting in wood. I came across these bad boys!! I called the company to ask many questions. They informed me yes I could install over tile. Woohoo!! I immediately went to Lowes and asked the same question the salesperson said yes and showed me which glue to use. They took a little over 5 hours...

Great product

I suggest looking them over really well, because a few were damaged for whatever reason. Some did need a little sanding touch-up, but other than that they were ready for stain. I stained them with a dark walnut and used a clear semi-gloss polyurethane.

Replacement threads

After getting several quotes to redo our stairs averaging over two thousand dollars we decided to do it our selves. These treads made it very easy and saved us about 60%. Would definitely recommend this product. When staining stain every other step until it dries before finishing the rest.

Great treads

We used these to replace the carpet on our stairs. They worked like a dream. They are beautiful to look at and feel solid to walk on. I’d recommend them no to anyone.

Good Quality

I am very happy with these treads- They have an 1” profile but are only 5/8” thick- helps minimize the rise change to the top and bottom stairs!
