Fabulous tread update.

I love these steps! They are solid oak (not engineered plywood), they are easy to cut to size and install.

Quality

Only needed 36 in. Treads but did not have them in stock at the time of purchase .

Good Solution

I used this product to eliminate carpet from steps and installed this over the existing plywood treads. It's a bit pricey, but overall, probably worth the results. We used a floor stain and finish before fitting and installing them. If you're planning to use this with laminate flooring at the floors connected by this product, the top tread is a little tricky since this product is thicker than most laminate floors, so you'll need something custom at the top. Easy to stain, cut and out in place. Look nice and are sturdy

Splits

Beautiful, great cover up but: I have had 1/2 of them split lengthways all the way from end to end as it’s not solid hardwood. Where it’s joined, has a tendency to split apart, great price for what you get but, be prepared, not 100% good quality or appearance after it splits! And not returns or refunds!!!
