they sent me someones return and then expects me to drive 30 min back and forth to correct their mistake. Missing pieces and damaged. Why does lowes feel entitled to my labor when they make a mistake?

Main post wobbles at connection point

The main post comes in two pieces and upon installing in the ground, the top piece of the post does not stay firm but wobbles forward and back when you pull on the mailbox door to open it. Very annoyed because we cannot uninstall it out of the ground and return to store.

Good. Not perfect

The two parts of the pole fit tightly together. If I drove the bottom part into the ground first it would have been out of sight trying to connect top part. I found it easier assembling the two parts first but driving the first few inches was a bit of a stretch and requires someone holding upright to start. Because I have loose sandy ground I had to drive mine in quite a way.

Poor Craftsmanship

Do not buy. I thought this would be easier than other posts but it proved to be a pain to install and none of the holes lined up. You have to hammer this into the ground which is a workout, then you have to hammer the top portion to the one you hammered into the ground and screw it together, however the holes didn't align and it was hammered flush. I managed to get the screws in but it didn't look pretty. Then the top portion that holds the mailbox is off center and also the holes didn't line up...

This product is trash

This product is trash. The mating connection only has 2 screws witch give it a pivot point ant the post wobbles if you look at it wrong.

Issue with Joining the two post parts together

I like the product design. It works well with where it had to be located. However, after putting the full post in the ground, I inserted the screws that secured the posts together. When I tighten the screws the top post rocked back and forth, not a lot, but seems to me over time something would come loose. I even used a 2x4 and hammer and hit the tip post on the top edge thinking it wasn't seated, that didn't do anything. When I assembled the unit in my house both posts fit tight together (...

Easy to install

You need a mallet for installation.

It was very easy to install and did not need concrete or post hole diggers.

Highly recommend.

Works but be careful when pounding

The universal mount fit the 20-year-old mailbox from my broken old post. I chose this new post so that I wouldn't have to deal with concrete. Two weeks in and it's still standing. This post comes with two plastic caps, one to use when pounding the post into the ground and another to seal the post after installing. The instructions say to use a separate pounding block (like a piece of dense wood) "if you have hard soil". I would say you should use a separate block regardless, because if you use t...
