Ratings & Reviews for RELIABILT Mailbox Post Black Steel Flat Mount Mailbox Post
Ratings may include incentivized customer reviews.
What Customers Are Saying
Customers praise the straightforward installation, requiring no digging or concrete, and appreciate the sturdy galvanized metal construction with a professional appearance. However, many report a loose joint between the two post sections that screws alone fail to stabilize, often requiring DIY reinforcement like tape or brackets. Despite this flaw, most reviewers find the design superior to traditional methods and would repurchase. A few encountered missing parts or damaged components, but these represent minimal feedback overall.

Would Not RecommendThe post itself is in 2 pieces and it bolts together and it makes it unstable and wobbly. Would not recommend!

Good and simple.
Would RecommendI liked the simplicity of this mail box post, the galvanized painted material. Only thing I didn’t like was the diagonal support that receives the mailbox. The diagonal support should have a horizontal support bar.

Installed this at my property, which the old one was hit by a car by accident, nice look and easy fix!
Loose connection between two poles
Would Not RecommendI was disappointed of the rocking/wiggle that occurs between the upper pole and lower pole. Only two screws at that joint allow there to be a hinge effect of those two two screws. I believe needs a screw on each side of post (4 screws total) to prevent the looseness and don’t believe the purchaser should have to rig it themselves. Sheet metal screws for the two sides where there aren’t screws is one option, but why not just build it for 4 screws to start. Sheet metal screws won’t give the secure...

wobbles
Would Not RecommendThe install was a workout, make sure to have a rubber mallet handy. Overall, the connection point of the bottom and top half is not 100% seal. I was able to connect and secure the screws per instructions but the pole wobble front to back. Please send me a brace or sleeve to fix this.

Sent me someones return
Would Not Recommendthey sent me someones return and then expects me to drive 30 min back and forth to correct their mistake. Missing pieces and damaged. Why does lowes feel entitled to my labor when they make a mistake?

Main post wobbles at connection point
Would Not RecommendThe main post comes in two pieces and upon installing in the ground, the top piece of the post does not stay firm but wobbles forward and back when you pull on the mailbox door to open it. Very annoyed because we cannot uninstall it out of the ground and return to store.

Good. Not perfect
Would RecommendThe two parts of the pole fit tightly together. If I drove the bottom part into the ground first it would have been out of sight trying to connect top part. I found it easier assembling the two parts first but driving the first few inches was a bit of a stretch and requires someone holding upright to start. Because I have loose sandy ground I had to drive mine in quite a way.

Poor Craftsmanship
Would Not RecommendDo not buy. I thought this would be easier than other posts but it proved to be a pain to install and none of the holes lined up. You have to hammer this into the ground which is a workout, then you have to hammer the top portion to the one you hammered into the ground and screw it together, however the holes didn't align and it was hammered flush. I managed to get the screws in but it didn't look pretty. Then the top portion that holds the mailbox is off center and also the holes didn't line up...
