Same style, different post mounting procedure

Replace an existing post just like this one but the post style had changed.

Easy installation

Easy to install. Sturdy construction. Wish there had been 4 screws instead of 2 attaching the box post to the mounting post or would have given 5 stars.

Poor quality

The two post pieces have a small gap and leaves the joint loose. No top cap was provided in the box. The hammer pad is cheap plastic and shatters very easily.

Dissatisfaction

The two posts don't fit together at all and the instructions need to be printed darker and bigger. I needed a flashlight to read the instructions as well as my glasses and a magnifying glass.

The post itself is in 2 pieces and it bolts together and it makes it unstable and wobbly. Would not recommend!

Good and simple.

I liked the simplicity of this mail box post, the galvanized painted material. Only thing I didn’t like was the diagonal support that receives the mailbox. The diagonal support should have a horizontal support bar.

Installed this at my property, which the old one was hit by a car by accident, nice look and easy fix!

Loose connection between two poles

I was disappointed of the rocking/wiggle that occurs between the upper pole and lower pole. Only two screws at that joint allow there to be a hinge effect of those two two screws. I believe needs a screw on each side of post (4 screws total) to prevent the looseness and don’t believe the purchaser should have to rig it themselves. Sheet metal screws for the two sides where there aren’t screws is one option, but why not just build it for 4 screws to start. Sheet metal screws won’t give the secure...

wobbles

The install was a workout, make sure to have a rubber mallet handy. Overall, the connection point of the bottom and top half is not 100% seal. I was able to connect and secure the screws per instructions but the pole wobble front to back. Please send me a brace or sleeve to fix this.

they sent me someones return and then expects me to drive 30 min back and forth to correct their mistake. Missing pieces and damaged. Why does lowes feel entitled to my labor when they make a mistake?
