I'm not a painter or wallpaperer, but am doing the best I can to DIY. I wallpapered around a thermostat, and the wallpaper came out jagged around the edges. This edging helped a lot. I couldn't use an iron over the wallpaper or the plastic casing of the thermostat, so I used a hair dryer on high heat. It worked excellent. I recommend.
