I'm not a painter or wallpaperer, but am doing the best I can to DIY. I wallpapered around a thermostat, and the wallpaper came out jagged around the edges. This edging helped a lot. I couldn't use an iron over the wallpaper or the plastic casing of the thermostat, so I used a hair dryer on high heat. It worked excellent. I recommend. Would Not RecommendThis edging is very delicate and burns easily. I used parchment paper first and it glued itself to the melamine surface. I tried tinfoil next with the same results. I had a partial roll that I've had for several years and it is twice as thick and does not require a buffer between the iron and the edging. I can only assume they have made this product thinner to increase profits. I will not buy again.
