2 months old and is DEAD

I thought buying a Maytag would be a wise choice. I could not have been more wrong. The machine goes off balance with large loads. BUT!!! now it's 9 weeks old and is completely dead. Won't turn on!! Called Maytag customer service and tried a hard reset, still dead. It's going to be 2 weeks before a tech can get out. 2 weeks?? We are both seniors and now we have to haul laundry to the laundromat. PET PRO FILTER SYSTEM IS HEAVEN SENT

We have 10 dogs & 2 cats, so the amount of hair this filter removes from each wash load is eye opening. MAYTAG has made doing laundry and machine maintenance a breeze. Our old washer had a filter the size of a cow catcher on a steam locomotive and required cutting a hole in the front of the machine to access it. But the PET PRO filter is quick and easy. Thank you MAYTAG.

Do NOT recommend unless you like smelling bad

We purchased this matching washer and dryer set because our old washer was leaking, and honestly, we wish we had kept it. Neither the washer nor dryer has worked properly since we received them. Broke within one year

Broke after one year and had to be completely replaced. Technician said the motor was shot and would cost more to fix and recommended buying an LG. Said he is constantly having to fix whirlpool and maytags

I purchased this Maytag washer because of its reputation for reliability, but it began malfunctioning within the first month. Machine Broke in 60 Days

If it breaks after 30 days, Lowe’s completely disregards you. Mine broke within 90 days and I got stuck in the middle between Maytag and the repair faculty. You have no advocate. One week since the washer broke and still waiting on “parts.” Order from an independent retail store who stands behind customer service and who will replace it rather than put you in limbo when the machine breaks soon after you purchase it.
