My washer was delivered today and I have done 3 loads of wash. First think I washed was a throw with pet fur on it and surprised at the fur ball i got out to the trap. But it didn't remove all of it. Maybe the dryer that is also the Pet Pro would have gotten off what was left. What I do not like is: It is a very loud washer, and I have to leave the room because it becomes nerve racking. We recently bought the top loading Samsung washer and very impressed on how quietly it runs!

So far I love the washer the pet cycle really help to get the air of blankets. The filter collects so much fron the wash i cant believe it.

2 months old and is DEAD

I thought buying a Maytag would be a wise choice. I could not have been more wrong. The machine goes off balance with large loads. BUT!!! now it's 9 weeks old and is completely dead. Won't turn on!! Called Maytag customer service and tried a hard reset, still dead. It's going to be 2 weeks before a tech can get out. 2 weeks?? We are both seniors and now we have to haul laundry to the laundromat. PET PRO FILTER SYSTEM IS HEAVEN SENT

We have 10 dogs & 2 cats, so the amount of hair this filter removes from each wash load is eye opening. MAYTAG has made doing laundry and machine maintenance a breeze. Our old washer had a filter the size of a cow catcher on a steam locomotive and required cutting a hole in the front of the machine to access it. But the PET PRO filter is quick and easy. Thank you MAYTAG.

Will you please come start this machine for me?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The machine is very difficult to power on and start a load. The power button is a mystery: sometimes it works and sometimes I have to try numerous times. For the amount I spent on this machine, I am very frustrated. Once we get it started, yes, I said "we" because half the time I get my husband to start it, the machine cleans the clothes very well.

Works great as long as you can read it's mind

And the model number on my registration card ended with a number while on the web site it does not have a number making it extremely annoying to find any user manual type of information. So far the washer is doing a dine job, just wish the information about it was worth a darn and easy to find.

Do NOT recommend unless you like smelling bad

We purchased this matching washer and dryer set because our old washer was leaking, and honestly, we wish we had kept it. Neither the washer nor dryer has worked properly since we received them. Unfortunately, Lowe’s has been hands-off because we reported the issues more than 48 hours after delivery. Since then, we’ve had four repair visits, and the set still isn’t working as it should. Broke within one year

Broke after one year and had to be completely replaced. Technician said the motor was shot and would cost more to fix and recommended buying an LG. Said he is constantly having to fix whirlpool and maytags

Don't buy this washer

I purchased this Maytag washer because of its reputation for reliability, but it began malfunctioning within the first month. Changing the cycle caused an error, leaving us able to use only one setting. I was told that Maytag/Whirlpool only offers repairs and that if the washer is working when the technician arrives, I could be charged a service fee. Power loss

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The washer doesn't clean well and it turns off randomly saying it lost power. I connected it to a surge protector and it doesn't lose power. It's an expensive piece of junk that needs to be fixed out of the box.
