Ratings & Reviews for Kobalt 24-volt 15-in Split Shaft Attachment Capable Battery String Trimmer 4.0 Ah (Battery Included) (Charger Included)

awkward to use

I purchased this as I have other Kobalt tools I really like and wanted to keep the number of chargers to a minimum. This one is a bit awkward to use but the guard for the string does not really keep the grass/weeds from ending up all over your legs or shoes. It does work ok but it does make a mess.

Expensive

Good and easy to use but expensive and only came with one battery

I wish more attachments were available

Great trimmer. I love the simplicity of the battery.

Weeds beware

Kobalt 24v weed eater is light easy to work with have recommended it to others

GREAT SERVICE- FROSTY was great!!

This is a great machine

I know what you’re thinking, why buy 24 V? Well for me it came down to the fact that I already have six of these batteries from other kobalt tools. I am very impressed with the machine, it has the power to cut thru tall and thick grass. I bought an aftermarket edger attachment and it works great. The connection was easy to do. The battery lasted for my whole yard front and back. It may be considered a little heavy for some people but it can with an attachment to hook up a shoulder strap.

Easy use

Junk

Worked fine for a few months then completely stopped working all together. Called Kobalt and was told without a receipt they wouldn’t do anything to repair or replace. So yes, my fault for not saving a receipt for a year but also last Kobalt item I’ll ever purchase.

Powerful little trimmer

I assume that the 40v battery has better life but I could not find an attachment capable 40v so I got the 24v. It takes about 3 batteries to trim my lawn but other than that I may never go back to gas.

weak and low battery life.

Well built and powerful

I use this instead of a mower for a 25x30’ fenced area. It performs perfect

Kobalt rocks!

My old gas weed eater died on me after several years of use. I'd been hearing great reviews about batter operated yard tools, so I checked out my options and picked the Kobalt 24-volt split shaft model since I had several attachments for my old gas one. All the attachments fit!

Easy to use & works great!

We had an old weedeater which we couldn't replace the string. Too many weeds to remove before fire season,, so purchased this one. Works great! Easy to use.

24volt max trimmer

Fast shipping, but trimmer is a little bit heavier than I expected . It cut good, the only problem I have the battery does not last as long as expected. It will make a good backup.

Poor charger. Broken after 1 use.

String trimmer works fine for price. Battery charger stopped working after first full charging cycle. Went to Lowe’s to buy new charger. Price of replacement charger about the same as compete new trimmer including charger. Dumb.

No replacement pars

Good pick for small jobs.

Love the look and the power behind this product.
