What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise this trimmer for its power, lightweight design, and seamless compatibility with existing battery systems and attachments. Many highlight its ability to cut thick weeds and tall grass with ease, quiet operation, and smooth string feeding. The ecosystem integration is a major draw for existing users, who appreciate shared batteries and interchangeable accessories. Battery life remains the primary concern, with reports of 15-20 minutes per charge, though most find this acceptable with spare batteries or for smaller yards. Despite minor complaints about weight and occasional string durability issues, the overall sentiment remains strongly positive.

Would RecommendBattery does not hold up very long, under constant use. Heats up very quickly, then shuts down to cool. Lower speeds helps a lot. Have a second battery handy, you'll need it. Two hour charge for a thirty job does not cut it on my larger yard. Personally, I would go with the 40v units. Otherwise, not a bad unit for small yards. Otherwise, it will get my needs done well. This is an update to an earlier post.
First foray into cordless
Would RecommendBattery time seemed lacking. May have not had charged completely. Unit is very light, compared to a gasoline unit. This model is a convertable, to add other attachments. A helpful clerk changed with a Troy Bilt attachment. It fits! Appears to be adaptable with MTD products, as I used a Troy cutter from a unit that was well past its prime. Worked well. Recharging. Will report on battery life in a later post.
trimmer
My guess is that I didn't charge the product that long.. bc i ran out of charge to complete my trimming and I have a small yard. Once I give it another try, I may post something different.

Great reach and for quick jobs.
Would RecommendThe trimmer has good balance and the reach is great. Line feeding was without problems and it ran smoothly. It's good at full power for a quick job here and there but you should have extra batteries ready and run on the lower setting or you'll be waiting for a charge up. Overall, a good investment.

Get a regular 24v trimmer
Would Not RecommendIf you are buying for main use of the trimmer just buy the 24v trimmer. Not worth the extra weight. If planning to use for more than 5 mins the 4ah battery is useless for this tool. Go with the Gen 2 24v trimmer.

Annoying button you have to hold.
Would Not RecommendThe button you have to hold down to keep it running is awkward and painful after a while.

Great machine for medium size yard
Would RecommendUsing the .095 string cuts almost anything that grows. Battery run time is reduced from the.080 string that came with package. Good value for the money.
