Kobalt 4 Piece High Speed Twist Bits

Not for serious tile drilling. Better suited for softer surfaces like concrete or brick. I used these on 1/4" tile but 1/4" bit came apart due to overheating which was made worse by cheap design of bit - carbide tips are soldered on and cannot take much heat. Must keep water on drill constantly. This can be a problem due to angle you are drilling at and/or restricted access. Better to spend about 2x on Bosch tile bits, which look like they can dissipate heat better.

Used these bits to drill holes for mounting accessories in a shower, very little force is required.

they easily breaks and very poor quality, don't waste your money. I will ask fir my money back.

Perfect tool for the job - good selection of sizes

I needed to install a new shower and drill through glass tile in order to mount the hardware. This set gave me the ability to do a pilot hole first to ensure I was properly centered and then make it larger with the larger bit. The pieces worked exactly as expected (but must be used with a lubricant - I used a spray bottle with water) and I did not have a single tile break or crack on me. I thought the set was very reasonably priced.

Purchased for acrylic

I needed a bit to drill holes in 1/8 inch acrylic, and this bit was recommended by a Lowe’s associate in the hardware department. Using a drill press, the bit worked very well. I would recommend testing in a scrap piece beforehand to get a feel for the pressure you’ll need to apply: too much and the acrylic will crack, too little and it’ll heat up and melt. Overall, the bit worked well and the holes came out very clean and sharp with no chips.

I will say that like some of the other reviews these bits did not break. However after a couple holes through ceramic wall tile they were shot. Should have spent the money on the Bosch set but I figured they would last for the 8 holes I needed to drill.

Tile drillbits

This is a great tool to install fixtures over tile. A little water and slow drilling will give good results.
