Don't but this set! Took the 3/16" but out of the package and it drilled half way through the file before the tip broke off and cracked the tile. I don't even want to use any of the other bits. I don't recommend any of the kobalt garbage to anyone.

Works Great!!

I used the bit to mount a bar to hang kitchen utensils along my tile backsplash. Easy to use and works great. Since i read some negative reviews I attempted to see how well it would work on an extra tile I had (note this was after attempting with a masonry bit). I made a quick cut through the with moderate pressure. Each time i took a break (roughly after 4 seconds of drilling, I’d dip it in water to cool the bit). Before purchasing the bit set, I used a masonry bit I had. Not only was it diffic...

Works great

Not a professional here, but I drilled tiles in my renovated bathroom (didn't want the new tile to crack or chip). It did it fast and perfect, I just didn't used high RPM or a lot of pressure. Tip is so sharp that if you press it a little where you want to drill, it will not move around. Would love to try it on glass...

I have used these drill bits for years to drill glass and ceramic tile. Use water for coolant/lubricant.

I needed a drill bit that could handle drilling holes in glass. The Kobalt drill set did the job wth ease.

Bit drilled thru porcelain tile very slow. One broke second one did the job.

***DO NOT BUY***

Had 100 plus holes to drill. Bought 2 each $5 Irwins, $10 Bosch, and this bit. Time matters, all bits cooled with water. Got thru 99 holes by starting with the Bosch, punching thru with the Irwins. The Kobalt tip snaps with little pressure. Both bits snapped as son as they round out to the tile.

Like a hot knife through butter!

After blowing not one, but three “specialty tile” holesaw-esque bits (using as stated in the instructions) these things worked flawlessly. I originally purchased them thinking “worst case, I’m getting four for the price of 1.5” (they’re sold individually), but with only one bit I was able to make two perfectly round holes without cracking the tile.

I was using these to drill through floor tile. They broke almost immediately.

If you have a lot to do when drilling tile, I would tell you to get the more expensive kind.

These bits got the job done ASAP. I had bought two other brands (Craftsman & Stanley) and tased them out for not working. Kolbalt works every time!

Great little set

Great little set of bits. Needed to mount something to the tile wall in my bathroom and didn’t want to spend a fortune on something I might never use again. These did the trick, quick easy, and no cracked tiles.
