Ratings & Reviews for Kobalt 20 -Piece Standard (SAE) and Metric Mechanics Tool Set with Hard Case

Durable and very good quality!

No complaints about this set. The hard case is compact , which is nice for storing in a truck. With the various size sockets, I have every size I need for working on things around the house and barn. Sockets are very well made too.

Perfect Starter Set

The set is pretty much the perfect starter set and is a good set to have in any tool box. It has all of the most used sizes for both metric and standard sizes. The ratchet is heavy duty and feels like a quality material. All of the sockets are also heavy duty and look nice. Large lettering for the sizes. Comes with an extension which is nice and the box is perfect for carrying around. The sockets don't slip out and it is easy to take them out and put back to keep organized. I will definitely gra...

nice little set

This 24 pc Kobalt set is pretty nice, small enough for me to carry in my truck without being in the way and the pcs stay put so you don't have a mess when you open the case. Comes with an extension very handy and seems sturdy enough to do any job you need.

A Must Have!

My husband is a heavy equipment mechanic that is required to own his own tools. Getting this set was an absolute necessity to add to his collection. They are very high quality which makes them very durable. Being small and compact, they are super easy for him to throw them in his tool bag and face his next challange. A definate must have for anyone's toolbox for any task; whether it be repairing a telehandler or assembling an armoire, this is the set of choice!

Great set

Great compact set with a heavy duty ratchet. Set can easily fit into a glove box. It has all the common sockets that you would need for most jobs.

Good product

Have used the set twice now for a couple minor projects we had yet to complete to test it out. Good product, works as it should and includes a convenient case. Giving it 3 stars (average rating) not because something is wrong with it, rather because after two uses seems no better or worse than tool sets I have had in the past. Pretty much what you would expect. If someone was in need of a set I would have no hesitation in recommending this product.

Great

Kobalt tools are my brand of choice! This set came in a nice sturdy case that stores easily in our RV! Easy to read sizes and a high quality product for those unexpected repairs that arise while camping.

Really pleased with this product!

These sockets are high quality & built to last as well as have a lifetime warranty. Could not be happier with this set.

Quality Product

This is a quality set of tools. Like that it has a hard case so everything is kept together and neat inside the case. Would definitely recommend this product.

Nice small socket set

After getting this set I moved my daughter and used this several times reassembling her furniture and also mounting a tv. It’s well built and has a very nice case. It’s good for the simple little jobs. I would definitely buy it again

Compact & Convenient

This tool set comes with standard and metric sockets! The hard case is compact and holds each socket tightly in place. The case also makes carrying the full set of sockets to the job site. I carry my set in my vehicle so it is available for use whenever I may need it. Highly recommended this Mechanic's Tool Set!

Compact socket set.

This is set perfect for your car or college dorm room. It's small and has a good variety of standard and metric sizes.

Great Starter Set

The 24 piece Mechanic's tool set is great for starting a tool collection. The case is perfect for keeping sockets all in one place and handy storage when you need to work on something around the house.

Great sizing in a compact package

This socket set is well made and features color coded sae and metric sockets. Also included is a ranch and extension and a spark plug socket. The case is well built and is tough. The plastic is strong and has a good latch to keep closed. The interior molding in the case holds everything in its place and the case can stack onto other cases and fits well into your toolbox.. The only drawback is that there is no handle on the case so carrying it while holding other objects can become chal...

Good product

I really like the carrying case these come in. They fit nicely in my tool pouch. For being in a small container there is a lot of variety of sizes to pick from. So far I’ve had every size I need while working.

Great socket set

This is a great compact 3/8 drive socket set. Case is solid and keeps everything in its proper place. All pieces are top quality with heavy chrome finish. The ratchet is smooth acting and I prefer the flip lever, however it could be a bit thicker for use with gloves.

Ideal portable set

This is a handy set of tools. I took them to the field with me to fix a part on my car. It was much more convenient than having to drag a whole tool box full of tools. Also I didn't have to walk back & forth to the shed. This contains many of the standard and metric measurements that I needed. It comes with a case which is great so when you're finished you know that you've gathered all your sockets up & didn't leave any laying around. Its the ideal set of tools to keep in the car when traveling ...

Socket set

This set is very nice craftsmanship, quality. It has a nice good weight to handle. Firm grip. Easy cleaning. Case makes it easy to ensure that set stays together. The case has a locking latch so parts stay together during transportation and usage. Made of good rugged steel to where it does not strip or slip on your bolts or nuts. Chrome finish is good and not peeling. This is a good set compared to others.

Nice little ratchet set

Nice handly little ratchet set, compact for when you need to throw it in your tool bag, and the case keeps all of the pieces together - no carrying the sockets and ratchet separately. Ratchet handle is comfortable in the hand. The short sockets may not be able to reach over longer bolts, but the set does come with an exrtension for extra reach when needed.
