Ratings & Reviews for Kobalt 20 -Piece Standard (SAE) and Metric Mechanics Tool Set with Hard Case

Kobalt 20-Piece standard

Nice compact set perfect for leaving in the car in case of emergencies

Great value

Awesome fair priced tools set that is very strong and dependable. Very easy to use and small enough to store j. Your vechicle or portable toolbox for those unexpected breakdowns

Perfect Tool Everytime

Kobalt tools continually keep impressing me. I bought this small set just to have a set in my truck at all times. It compliments my larger mechanic's tool set. All the Kobalt tools I've purchased over the past 7 years have performed flawlessly. I wouldn't recommend any other tool. Kobalt for life.

Quality sockets

The ratchet is a little clunky, but otherwise this is a great set. The plastic carrier it comes in is the best way to store and carry them. Good price for a good product.

Tool Set

I wish that the tool set was sold with a better handle. It is a cheap handle with the rachets. I looked for a set that had a better handle, but could not find one.

Socket set

I just love this little socket set. Keep it in my pickup use it whenever I need to just right size got everything I need.

Socket Set

I have purchased & used Kobalt tools before. This set is of the same quality. Holds up & does the job. When you are working with tools, they either hold up & do the job or break.

Does the job!

Revived this set to test for Lowe’s and I must say I am very impressed with the quality and care taken in manufacturing and packaging this set. I have used the set 3 times since I got it and have zero complaints. The ratchet works smoothly every time and the sockets are color coded for standard and metric which makes it easy to locate in the case. Highly recommend this product!

Color coded & easy to read

This tool kit has the required tools to do many small repairs to both motorcycles and/or autos. The highly polished chrome coating tends to make cleaning of the tools in this kit easy. I especially like the easy to read sizes that are etched on the sides of the sockets along with the color coding of the sockets, red for the SAE sockets and blue for metric. The metric sockets fit our imported motorcycle and the standard SAE fit our Harley-Davidson. The compact storage case seems to be quite durab...

Missing SAE Size and Massive Box Wastes Space

This could be an awesome product, but it's been crippled by not having some socket sizes (one SAE in particular) and some useful socket drive accessories. The worst of it is a massive blow molded box with enormous wasted space that doesn't allow completing this set with additional sockets and drive accessories. What on Earth were those that designed this thinking? 1. Most glaring is the SAE side missing a 9/32" socket. Has 7/32" and 11/32" but they couldn't toss in another pocket somewhere with ...

Great Bang for your Buck

This kit has saved me a few times. Working a 23 acre farm, it’s a great set to keep in a take-a-long tool box. The case is a hard plastic and has kept up with the work load I put on it. Standard and metric means I have what I need without searching for it. Also has easy to read sizes clearly marked on each socket. I love this set!

Great storage case and set

This set was nicer than I anticipated. It includes a wide range of easy to read sizes and stores neatly and compactly. I used this to put together some furniture and had no issues. Ratcheting is smooth and had no issues fitting pieces together.

24-pc ratchet set

This 24 piece set has standard sizes needed in it. It has smooth movement. Comes in a sturdy, compact case. Very useful.

Handy Tool Set

High quality set. Heavy duty wrench with nice action and easy to operate. Versatile with standard and metric sockets, along with spark plug and extension. Sizes well marked in case for easy access. Carrying case is nice, the only thing I would change is adding a handle.
