GREAT TOOL FOR THE MONEY

Was not disappointed with my purchase. Good quality product and very handy to have around.

breaks easily

My job was small - I installed 4 light fixtures and 6 outlets. The jaws broke very easily and I had to strip wire by hand to finish.

Complete garbage at first, and always.

Total failure on ALL wire types, and sizes within it's range. Does NOT hold the wire, very little tension, and no grip, just slips. A pointless product, may as well use diagonal cutters, or an old pocket knife, you'd get far better results. Total trash. Expected FAR more, considering some thought may have gone into this product, but, clearly not... We need negative stars to rate this junker. A negative 10 rating would be good.

Make's the job easy!

These are truly awesome. I do not regularly do wiring but found this tool to be indispensable in any project that wires need to be stripped. It self adjusts to a wide range of common wire sizes. Wish I had them for many past projects. Grab a pair for your shop, you won't regret it - they are a very well made tool!

Great tool, having troubles with warranty

I have had lots of stripper likes this. Everyone one I have owned the springs always break then lots problems after that. So I wanted for my mac tool dealer to come. I asked him about the warranty he ask how long I owned them, told him about a year. He said irwin only warranties it for a year so we can try. So he ordered me a new set. I waited for them to arrive before I turned mine in. They came a month and a half later. I turn mine in. I look at the new one. On the back it says lifetime warran...

such a wonderful wire stripper

Been using wire stripper almost daily for 5 years. Keep one in work truck and another inwork shop.

loved em at first, but becoming expensive to own

they do the job, but now that you can't order the springs or yellow gauge, are becoming expensive tool to own.. you now have to mail your strippers to quality control and they replace them. that means you pay for postage to mail and have to wait to get a new pair shipped to you. has cost me almost $7.00 every time to mail. might wanna go with a different brand to save yourself some money.

Great for stripping wires

These wire strippers are great for stranded wire. The cutter works well for smaller gauge wires. The crimping portion is baloney.
