Perfect DIY saw

Saw very easy to use. Table being the height of a 2 x4, lets you easily cut a long length. Great value!

Excellent Value

This is my first miter saw and it is way better than making cuts with a miter box and hand saw. It assembled quickly and went to work. I am very pleased with its performance and ease of use. It does not have all the bells and whistles of a more expensive saw, but it takes care of the basics and for that it is penny for penny a great deal.

Great for the homeowner

This is a great saw for the homeowner! I am a carpenter and if you use it everyday like I do it wears out faster then if we're to get the upgraded one. This saw is well worth the money and I would definitely recommend this saw!

Great miter saw for DIY

Great saw for the price. Its my first miter saw but it works AWESOME for what I need. I just recently got into building furniture and things for my remodeling process. I just made a work table for the saw to sit on and also a coffee table for my home. this weekend ill be making a king size farmhouse headboard and eventually some end tables and cutting trim and baseboards. I love everything about this saw. go pick one up

Surprised at the quality

Best Value for the Money

Couldn't be happier with this saw. Powerful. Easy to setup. Most importantly - it's accurate. Worked perfectly for making precise cuts for crown molding.

No Safety Lock

This miter saw is the first one I see that DOES NOT have a safety lock. Meaning you don't have to press 2 buttons to run it.. this to me is very unsafe. Returning it for another brand.

pretty good saw for the money

I have only used this particular saw a few times, but so far it is suitable for what I use it for. I'm not sure how it will be when I use it for fine trim cutting. For normal cutting like for framing etc. it is a good little saw.

Great Product

I have had Compound Mitre Saw's in the past form other brands (delta, B&D) But this one is perfect. Great balance, great range of motion and east of use. Replacement blades for this size are a bit pricy but the one that came with it cuts with little to no splintering even on plywood and particle board. Great product at a great price.

Great Saw At A Good Price

10" compound miter saw

I unpacked the saw to find that a 10mm wrench that was to be in the box was missing or I would have gave it an excellent on the features. after setting the saw up and checking to make sure that everything was squared, I cut some miter joints and cut off some boards square to check everything and it worked very well. I then cut several door jams out for a project that we are doing in our home. I would recommend this saw to anyone looking for a good low cost miter saw.

Unbelievable Buy

Can't believe this saw is only $119.00. Powerful motor, easy to use, high quality, light weight and it's an excellent trim saw. The only negative is the dust collection bag which is useless. But then again, I've never seen a good one on any miter saw. I always hook up a shop vac which works great on this saw.

Excellent saw and affordable too

I bought this saw to have at home and took my craftsman to the lake because I was tired of lugging the Craftsman back and forth. Well to my surprise, this one is lighter, and cuts better than my older Craftsman. I'm glad I kept this one home. The only thing I would recommend is buying a 60 tooth blade if you are doing any kind of finish work since the one it comes with is more for ripping 2x4s. Also waiting for it to come on sale again to purchase one for my son for his birthday!!! Good decision...

Very good product

I purchased the saw to install a bamboo floor. The saw performed well. I was unable to purchase the saw blade needed at Lowes due to the limited variety available.

Slow Start

I'm not the smartest guy in the world, but the instruction book seemed too broad and not very user friendly. Getting the saw unboxed, put together, and set up to use was a struggle for me. Or it seemed like more of a struggle than it should be for a miter saw. After finally getting everything put together and ready for use, I'm very happy with the saw. For $120 I don't think you can do much better, and it seems to be as good of a saw or provide the same quality as the ones closer to $200.

Hitachi Miter Saw

I read all the positive reviews, and after a lot of research, I bought it. It was square out of the box with no adjustments needed. What I like is that it is light weight enough to move around when needed. The force needed to press down is smooth and easy. The power switch doesn't have the awkward thumb lock on it. I'm very happy with this purchase and would recommend it for anyone needing a miter saw.

45 angles

Bought this saw to cut 45 angles for making frames. First frame I made one corner came out about 1/64" off leaving a gap on the outside of the corner. Much better than I was able to do with the table saw and a square. Haven't tried to fine tune the blade angle and square it up.

lite weight & smooth cutting

Was concerned about the weight as to quality. That was gone after I set it up and used it. Easy to operate & cuts smoothly. Plenty of power. Great buy.
