Right tool for the right job at the right price

I had several 4 x 4 pressure treated fence posts that I needed to cut. I wouldn't be using a miter saw a whole lot after I was finished with this project so I didn't want to spend hundreds of dollars on a unit, but needed something that could cut straight and not burn out after a few cuts. The reviews on this saw were very good. Coupled with the fact that Lowe's price matched what I would have paid getting it through Amazon saved me $25. Good saw with terrible dust collection.

I like this saw, works great. However, my one complaint is that the dust collection is terrible. The port is too small, so wood shaving get caught and jam up. You have to clear it after every cut and I have it connected to a Shopvac.

Good so far

Good saw for hobby/home use. I knocked out one star because it wasn't aligned right and the sticker used was not placee properly as it's wrinkled. Be careful when mounting to a saw stand not made by Hitachi as it might not align properly

Hitachi 10 15 amp bevel compound miter saw.

Easy to put together.Work like a champ. Made job much easier and convenient. Use at Tampa Bay Downs.And my own forside work home and friends projects.

Great saw for the price

Saw is perfect for home use. Squared it up with just a minor tweak and it's holding true. 45 degree angle was right on. Seems like it would hold up under normal use. I won't be horsing it through any major timber, so I see this saw lasting a long time.

Cheap and gets the job done.

Motor sounds a bit labored when you first hit the trigger but once it spins up it has plenty of power. Good saw for the money.(Paid $99.99.)

Amazing

I've used my fair share of miter saws in the past, and for the money this thing is hard to beat. Very impressed with the 1st time using it!!!! Cuts really fast and smooth!

Easy to understand, easy to use

I am a novice user; this saw more than met my needs, was easy to put together, easy to use. I like its precision and I think it will be a durable tool.

Good Chop Saw

I bought this miter saw to do trim work. I already have a 12" Dewalt which is heavy to lug around. I bought this one because its lighter and still accurate. It was very easy to assemble and adjust and the angles were very accurate from the box.

Great Saw, there is better for the $$

Saw works great, was balanced and aligned straight out of the box. set-up was easy, 5 minutes and i was cutting with it. ran through multiple cut and all were a 90 degrees, run multiple at 45 degree and the results were the same, dead on. easy to use. put on a diablo 80 tooth and i great very nice smooth cuts

Good saw

Every bit as good as DeWalt at nearly half the price!

Very precise cuts for the money

Have only used the saw twice since I purchased it, but I am impressed by the accuracy of the cuts. Compound cuts come out exact every time and fit correctly when installed. Can't rate durability yet due to new product for me, but all other attributes are excellent.

Rocky start, OK in the long run

I bought the saw based on the many, many great reviews. Brought it home and started to set it up and ran into the same problem reported by another buyer. The saw is packed at a 20 degree angle so as to fit in the box, but the handle that needs to be loosened in order to set it at 0 degrees would not budge. Actually stripped the plastic handle, but no amount of torque would move the shaft. Probably cross threaded. Returned the unit and brought home another exactly like it. (Lowe's is great about ...

I was skeptical about this saw at it's price point,but wow!I was blown away by the performance of this saw at it's price.It cuts true and like butter.It's a very sturdy saw.

Very easy to setup and use

Did some research on inexpensive yet dependable saws. This Hitachi has worked great! Have renovated an entire 2500 square foot home and used it countless times and it cuts very clean and accurate. The key is to have a nice table and setup. Hitachi Will continue to earn my business in the future

Good quality, safety and ease of assembly for the price.

I looked at several competitors' features and quality. Hitachi enjoys a very good reputation and so I chose it because the price was low compared to competing products.
