A good saw/value , but

The defects are not much of a problem, but the miter angles can't be adjusted, and I guess that is why the instructions do not cover adjusting the miter angles. It would be a great value for framing and other non precision work. It would be OK for molding but not good. The 45 degree angle is around 1/16" off at 10 inches. Excellent product

I have used the Hitachi compound miter saw to make only a few cuts since receiving it two days ago. Features and function live up to the very high ratings I saw in various places before purchase. The only slight change I would make in the design is that there is no safety on the power switch. Push the switch and the saw activates easily. So if you grab the handle to move the saw, or for other reasons other than to cut something, you have to be certain not to touch the almost "hair trigger". Also...

Out of the box this saw has great safety features & was easy to set up and use.

This saw is everything I expected.

I had to have a portable saw that so I could complete my fence in the back yard. It proved to do every thing I knew I could do. I would recommend this saw to everyone for the price.

A very good outcome.

I was felling some trees in my yard and I messed up and damaged my deck. This product has great features

Compound mitre saw

I added a room over a garage. This area will be finished for grand kid's sleeping area. The saw was wonderful to use and is making all the perfect cuts for a first class job. This is my first compound mitre saw - I should have bought one years ago. It is a delight to use. Thanks for a Great product !!

Great tool for the price

Did the job without any problems. The dust bag is totally useless. I should have bought the model with the laser.

Why I care it in the truck

I have a very nice 12" miter saw that I use quite often and love. But because it is larger and heavier, it gets left at the shop more times than not. This 10" Hitachi has fit the bill a lot of the time. It is lighter, less bulky and has lots of power. The build quality seems to be good and the price point is solid. It is one of those tools that I keep on the truck most of the time. So far, love this tool.

Awesome first miter saw

Let me start by saying I have never used a saw in my life, minus hacksaws and a real weak battery no name circular saw. This thing is amazing!!! Easy to set up and was using it 15 mins after I brought it home! For the novice DIYer this is an awesome saw for your money, the thing is powerful and the ability to cut at angles up to 52 degrees is awesome. I would definitely recommend this Hitachi saw especially for $119, you won't be disappointed.

Good tool for limited space

Weekend fixer-upper tool, Like everything about it except the dust bag, almost worthless. clogs easily, doesn't catch more than 25 % of the sawdust. But excellent value. Not for professionals

Perfect cuts!

I have started a 2x4 décor shop in my garage thanks to this bad boy. Super easy and pretty much ready to use out of the box. The 5 year warranty is a strong perk to me thinking I can rely pretty heavily on its sustained use and quality. I waited to write a review until I explored each feature and the angled cuts are just as good. This isn't a super heavy duty saw with a mulititude of useable and unnecessary features... it is all business. The guard is aligned great to not interfere with your cut...

Best entry level miter saw

No funny dual bevel, no sliding, not 12 inches, but it is still an excellent 10" miter saw. At this price level, no any other miter saw is comparable. Miter is very easy to use and accurate; bevel is good, too. Notice is very acceptable. In addition, it is very portable but still very sturdy. If you are looking for an entry level compound miter saw, take this one, and you won't regret.
