Would Not RecommendI bought this NextGen 28kW to replace a rusty but reliable 20 year old 35 kW Generac. Our NextGen failed immediately at our first power outage 3 weeks after installation and is still nonfunctional after 3 service trips and more than 4 hours labor over the last week.

Reliable Protection
Purchasing this generator was similar to putting up a magical ward against power failures. Where the original motivation was a frequent number of outages, we’ve not had any single outage since installation. In it’s standby configuration it’s met our expectations.

Good generator for the entire house.
Would RecommendHave had this generator for a year. Had to have a faulty emergency switch replaced (under warranty). I've put about 11 hours on it. It's able to power everything in my 2500 sq/ft house (A/C, Heat, oven, dryer) all appliances with no issues.

First off the unit was undamaged but the packaging was torn totally apart. The Lowes Assistant asked that I come in look at it before they bring it out. Wow the packaging was trashed. We looked the unit over and saw no apparent damage. I am hoping that when the installer comes to hock it up that everything is there. VERY VERY DIAPOINTED, gives me cause to question where I order next time.
