Great Generator - Quiet and Energy Efficient

This is a high quality generator and I am amazed at how quiet it runs. I recommend you shop around for a good Electrical Company that also can do the Gas Line for the installation. For some reason, ALL of the Generac referrals were about $3000 higher than buying the generator from Lowes and hiring a licensed Electrician and Plumber to run the Natural Gas line.

I ordered a 18kw Generac generator, switch box and pad from Lowe's and signed up for installer consultant at the same time. Installer was suppose to contact me within two days. Generator and switchbox was delivered and place on my driveway 5 days later. Because of the method of delivery, (18 wheeler) I was told it would not be possible for them to place the generator on the side of the house where I needed it. So it is still sitting on my driveway. the check out people were great, wait time for load out was minimal, however the loading of an item that heavy should have been done with forklift not a flat lift. The load out assistance was curiosity but without my help he would not have been able to load or move genator on to lift or on to my truck . I could see a work comp claim coming right there. I like our Lowe's store but they need more qualified assistants. AH

Used my farm tractor front end loader to move and set the unit ,hired an experience electrician to wire and start the unit. Gas company connected the gas line.

First it didn't arrive when promised. Six weeks later the tracking system doesn't do the consumer any good. I couldn't reach the store, it was 7 times before someone answered my call. I asked about their tracking, if they could locate it for me and i was told to "just wait". When an item is almost $7000.00, being told yo just wait...sucks. The product had other issues where it needed something else, multiple times. It wont "Start Easy", requiring multiple people to make it work. It is a propane...
