Just an average overpriced item

Ok product but is highly overpriced, Aluminum screws "strip out" easily.

New composite deck

I wanted the look of no screws on top of the decking but when I ready to install the second row of decking, I thought I was doing something wrong. The spacing between the decking (3/16), too far apart for my taste. Clearly saw the clips and joists. I did like the instruction said to do but still thought "this is going to be bear to install 29 pieces of decking". great product

I know there are cheaper products that do the same job, but you can beat the metal ones as they are made to last and very easy to use. they lock the deck boards down snug as a bug in a rug..

Little pricey but overall a good product.

Does not hold decking linearly

Nice but not cheap

They are very nice, but you have to be very careful when putting the screws in, I think they are aluminum and the head strips out very easy, and once that happens, good luck if you have to take it back out. For the price I think for what you get there should be twice as many for that price.

AMAZING PRODUCT

I initially bought the Trex Hidden fasteners from Home Depot and I can't say enough how terrible those are in every way. I next drove right over to Lowes and bought five boxes of these Fasten Master clips and went back to work installing my 16ft composite decking. These clips are amazing in design and very easy to use. Not a good item

We will be returning these on our next trip down this week. We will use an alternative method to attach the composite boards to the deck.

Compose Board Clips

Good product was easy to use. Costly but did the job. Need to design a double clip for when you have to join to board.

I would have rather purchased just the clips and screws in packs of 50 that than having to purchase the side clips and the linking clips together in the same box. I had absolutely no use for the side clips and I had to throw them out. That was non productive.

Impossible!

Difficult to get in with consistently 45 degree angle and straight into joist and they loosen and twist as one pushes in the next board. Provided screws strip out easily making them almost impossible to remove. Ended up using the Camo system with great ease and speed. If I could give them 0 stars I would and they're expensive, too. Also, not enough start/end clips per box.

a much better way

these clips make deck install so much easier than screwing each board through the face. keeps it looking so much cleaner. the screw going in on an angle pulles the boards tight to the clips. only a quarter of the deck is done but so far all is well.

Terrible product

This product doesn't work. I would not recommend this to anyone who is building a deck

Versa clips

Great product but was shorted about 10 screws. The box is not cheap at $45 and would have liked to use all the clips without searching for screws to fit.

Good product but expensive

Easy to use but very time consuming. I wish they would include a few extra screws in the box since some twist off when you happen to hit a knot. Also, more starter clips should be in the box.

Great concept

This clip is way to expensive $45.00 per box but the look of the deck with out screws is great. It also increases your project time as it slows down the contractor.

Need to sell boxes with no starter clips

You can only use so many starter clips when building your deck. My 20x16 deck only required 20. Yet I needed 9 boxes of 100 clips (10 starter clips and 90 regular clips) for my deck. If they just sold boxes of 100 of the regular clips, I could have gotten by with 8 boxes total and not had 90 useless starter clips that I don't need or have any other use for left over. Also would have saved me over $45.

Not easy to use...

I have tons of deck space that I'm replacing. Decided to use these hidden clips this time. I find them hard to get use to. Installing the 2nd board is not just "hold the board at a angle and slip them in". I find that the next board doesn't want to slip into the clip. I've had to make spacer and tap them into place to hold one end and them some in the middle while I work on the other end. I'm going to keep trying them....too many in use to be this hard.

VersaClip Deck hidden Fastners

These clips are easy to use and work great. The only down side is that they only come one size (quanty) box. I used one box, and needed 12 more clips. A box costs $45 and I now have many extra clips that will never be used. It would be good pr if they would sell smaller quantities available for those customers that onlr0y need to finish a home project.
