What Customers Are Saying
The electric plate compactor is a versatile tool suitable for small to medium-sized jobs like compacting soil, sand, and gravel. It is easy to use and maneuver, and its lightweight design makes it accessible for most users. The compactor effectively compacts materials, leaving a smooth, firm surface. However, it may lack the power for heavy-duty or large-scale projects, and some users reported issues with the handle bolts coming loose over time, requiring extra maintenance. Overall, the compactor provides good value and performance for DIY homeowners seeking an affordable and convenient compaction tool for projects around the house and yard.

Would have gave it 5 stars but the securing bolts on the handle vibrate lose quite annoying ...

Quite a good compactor, it is limited due to it being electrically operated, the petrol version has twice the compacting power. However, for the money it is quite a good machine- recommended

I had a 100m hoggin path to conmpact in our rear garden. I was at first unsure whether the electric version would be up to the job but was pleasantly surprised. When you got used to the correct steering technique and speed via trial and error the product performed very well and even went around gentle curves very neatly. In summary a very good compacting tool.

Works fine, nice long lead. The thumbscrew holding the handle together worked loose and may need regular tightening. Avoiding the lead is a bit of a pain but as against that, no petrol to fill each time. Not as noisy as I thought it might be.

So far it’s works fine, what I have found out, if you run it with the handle only partly down, it as a tendency to jump up and down a bit, but if you pull it towards yourself but not pushing down to hard, it works absolutely fine, it will run up a incline of about 25 degrees, I would have loved to have seen a reversing switch on it, with any electric motor if the polarity is reversed, the motor will go in the opposite direction, I have not taken the cover off the motor yet, to see what is the se...

Most compactors would require two or more to lift/move or turn them on a small confined patch. One person can lift and turn this and it still does a good job. You just have to do a few more runs to make up for its lighter weight etc. Its ideal for DIY or a handy tool for small awkward jobs and only cost about the same as hiring a bigger one for a week. One problem The clamp for the rubber matt doesn't work very well and it keeps sliding off to the side and coming loose. I ended up making a strop...

A really good piece of hardware, ideal for small projects not heavy enough for larger projects also pointless buying the paving pad as it is not fit for the job it’s supposed to be designed for, it keeps detaching away fr the late , so it’s a waste of money buying the paving pad

HULK ELECTRO
Got fed up of trying to hire and pay huge costs of so doing. Used the Hulk to prepare a sub base about eight square metres. Works really well on soil and MOT type 1. Four passes enough to get a really good base for concreting. Bargain at this price especially when you compare to cost of hiring.

HULK ELECTRO
A neat and handy unit for carrying out small compacting tasks such as during relaying /repairs of uneven drive block paving. It tends to 'bounce' a bit occasionally - but I think there is a skill in understanding how best to avoid this problem. Although a lot can be achieved by hand with a rubber mallet - the blocks do seem to have a lot more even appearance using the Hulk. Pleased it is compact and easy to store. Some over-centre clamps on the handles would have made it easier to collapse a...

HULK ELECTRO
Great bit of kit. I used it to compact soil around my swimming pool (5m X 10.5m) on three sides with width of 2m before laying artificial grass. It did the job perfectly. Will also use to compact hardcore for base for store. Would recommend for keen DIY.
