A good tool for Heavey Domestic work. On 'Type 1' little and often is the way to go, about 30mm per layer. Its nice and quiet so you dont need ear defenders. Its light enough to be fairley easy to pull around, but a little more wieght would help the action. Its got a good length of power cable so you dont need the clutter of lead reels on the work site. All things considered its a good little tool about the garden as well as a building site, but it would be great if the top handle could be easi...

The machine did what it promised on the tin; was simple to use, produced the end result I desired; after two months of almost daily use had cost me less than two months of hire fees for a similar product from a plant hire shop so I'm very happy, apart from the fact I have a relatively new machine cluttering up my garage, which I shall probably never need to use again. E-Bay comes to mind.

Did just what I wanted. Flat compact sand surface to lay slabs on. Cheaper than hiring one from local tool hire company.

An excellent machine for relatively light work, such as preparing subase and sand prior to laying slabs or blocks, however, if stones in the type one are larger than 40mm, then a heavier machine would be much better. Also hand screws slacken off on their own. I cured this by putting blue tack type of stuff on the threads, but all in all, a good value for money machine, and much better than hiring.
