What Customers Are Saying
Customers praise the rustic aesthetic and affordability, with many loving the natural imperfections and final stained or painted appearance. However, significant quality control issues dominate feedback—reviewers report widespread damage including broken tongues, splits, and warped edges, with many stating only 1-3 usable planks per six-pack. High waste rates of 20-50% force customers to purchase substantially more material than planned. Despite these frustrations, most find the lightweight, easy installation and low cost worthwhile for achieving an attractive rustic look, though careful board selection is essential.

Would RecommendHalf of the panels were bad either broken or chipped. Out of 5(60 panels)only 2 1/2(30 panels) were ok. But for the price they are not bad and they are a bit hard to lock them togrther.

Easy to work with
Would RecommendThis product was easy to work with. The only complaint I have is that a lot of the pieces were not of the best cuts.

Bead board
Would RecommendIn a package of six boards there are often one or two that are not usable as a whole piece. The tracks are sometimes splintered. The boards are sometimes incomplete with crooked edges.

Poor quality control
Would Not RecommendI used 36 packs of 6 boards each, all packs had more than one split/broken/damaged boards. Some packs of 6 had 100% damaged boards with very little usable material.
Get what you pay for
Would RecommendNot bad, not great, but you do get what you pay for. Pressed, flemsy, and better if used against a wall. I used it to enclose a bookshelf just to make it look some what decent. Be careful when using screws with this product, it has the potentiometer to split very easily.
Quality Issue
Would Not RecommendThere are 6 planks in the bundle. On average, only 4 planks were usable where we needed the full 8’ length. The issues ranged from simply only missing 1” because the original log was to narrow, to the groves being damaged because of ruff handling. The issues were found to be at three different stores, not just one location for a bad batch or rouge employee. When it worked, the product was great, but too many of the pieces simply were not usable. Trying to do a material supply estimate was a...
Get what you pay for.
Would RecommendThe package says economy, which basically means not top of the line lumber. I used this to cover my living room ceiling and it worked great. Lightweight, easy to install. I used 1 1/2 inch staples. The downside is there is a lot of waste, about 20-25% unless you want to use pieces with holes and gaps. I had five packs worth of whole pieces that I didnt use because of that reason and you cant take them back because they come packaged. This plus the other scrap from cut pieces and I basically had ab...
Nice finish and easy to use.
Would RecommendWe used it to decorate a bedroom wall.
Very good product
Would RecommendUsed this to make a accent wall for my TV room we stained it several different colors then installed it. It was a very easy project that turned out great
Lots of defects
Would Not RecommendBought 6 packs to use only 4. I had to pick the best of every pack. Lots of defects but it got the job done.
Inexpensive Accent Wall
Would RecommendI researched several products before starting my project, and they're not cheap! As much as $14/sq. ft. in some cases. I had 96 sq. ft. This product isn't perfect, but I wanted the rustic look, so I was OK with that. I painted the wall a dark brown before installing. I installed with the rough side out. I applied Liquid Nails as well as nailed to wood into the studs (over the drywall). I bought plenty of extra as I had to pick through the boards to sort out the warped ones, but at $1.40/s...
Walls and ceiling
We built our home in a 42'x156' loft of our old dairy barn. Half of walls and cieling are covered with this product other half are rough cut hemlock and some dry wall. It went on easily and only 5% waste, which we found a use for that. People that visit really like it. Only negative comment was from mother inlaw. Which doesn't matter. The guy that helped me put it up was impressed by the ease of this project. I normally support small biz stores but I had to save $ and lowes did that. Thanks
Cheap T&G pine paneling
Would RecommendHave been putting this paneling on all of our ceilings, first to cover the popcorn texture, but mostly to get the mid-century plank ceiling look we desire. This paneling is about a 1/4" in thickness, perfect for gluing and nailing up over the existing drywall. The price is good, and it is okay to work with, but the consistency of quality is terrible. Each package contains 6 pieces, and quite often you are lucky to get 1 or 2 pieces that are in good shape. I don't mind the occasional missing knot...

Wonderful
Would RecommendI used this product on two walls in our home. It cuts easily and stains beautifully. Edges are fragile so be careful. Have done several more projects for friends and family as they loved how mine turned out!
Poor quality
Would Not RecommendI have found that as much as 30% of the board have defects that make them unusable. Problems include warping, knots, missing tongues or grooves. If I had known the quality was this poor I would have used a different product. Check each bundle carefully if you purchase this product.
Nice pine paneling
Would RecommendThis is nice pine paneling. Expect some knots and you won't be disappointed. It creates a beautiful wall or in our case a cabinet that fit in well in our rustic cabin. It isn't very thick so don't expect a lot of support from these boards, Think more like thin strips of paneling. They interlock well and create a nice wall or surface.

Groove Gold Pine Wood Wall Panel - 8' and 32" styl
Would RecommendThis is a tongue and groove product. It's important that the ends, sides have a little protection. Don't know if it comes from the factory/packaging damaged, from shipping or gets that way in the store when displaying but it and the 32" pieces need to have a little more care given as the ends and sides are fragile. Had to go through many packages to get ones that were workable. The product itself is great and we used it for refacing kitchen cabinets, drawers and cabinet sides.

junk
Would Not RecommendThis stuff is the same thickness as a pop tart. And it is made from junk wood. Most edges are missing and there are holes throughout the product. Absolutely no quality control at the plant that makes this product. Pop tarts might actually look better than this stuff on a wall.
