Earthquake 5 Ton Splitter

I have used my splitter one time. I split 4 hours of wood in 40 minutes. That included reading instructions and adding hydraulic oil. Within minutes I felt comfortable and happy using my splitter. My back and shoulders were fine no soreness or exhaustion felt. The splitter is perfect for my use. I should have bought one years ago.

Little Workhorse

Well made little workhorse and easy to setup and store. I have split oak, black walnut, hackle berry, elm, birch and Bradford pear woods up to 9 inch diameter. I would suggest getting a stand for this splitter as I ended up with a sore back operating it hunched over on the ground for a couple of hours.

Much much easier than swinging a maul.

Works well, even on bigger logs if you arrange them properly. If its gets stuck on a tough piece, it pops my house fuse - but not very often.

As advertised - does great with my firewood, even not fully seasoned, pretty fast recycle, nice and safe, relatively quiet. Fabulous value, very pleased with the unit

Worked as I was hoping it would.

The Height of the machine was low for me. I ended up ordering the leg extensions for it. I know it states you can put it on a stand of some sort, but I don’t have any tables or stands available, so I ordered the extension.

Great little wood splitter but packaging is poor.

After doing some research, I decided on this splitter to use for fireplace wood. It arrived quickly but the box looked like it had been drop kicked a few times. There were punctures in the box and the plate on the front was dented and scratched. It did not impact its ability to function. Just cosmetic. A bit disappointing as it was a gift for my husband. It was very easy to set up, in fact, I took it out of the box and assembled it before my husband got around to it. It weighs about 100lbs, b...

Super affordable easy to use.

I like that it is easy to use and very powerful. It was also very portable. I keep it in the basement and use it there by the fireplace.

Terrible product, doesn't work!

Worse purchase ever, it will not even split a 3-4" log. We are so frustrated and disappointed with this product, but have probably waited too long to return (not quite a year). Wish that I would have read the reviews before purchasing, we just watched the video showing how good it was at splitting...false!!!
